This team is built for Doubles VGC ' 16.

So I need assistance with seeking possible continuous weaknesses with this team. I have been fairly happy. Its mostly getting predictions correct and stop making predictable plays.

    Xerneas @ Power Herb
    Ability: Fairy Aura
    Level: 50
    EVs: 184 HP / 28 Def / 252 SpA / 44 Spe
    Modest Nature
    - Geomancy
    - Protect
    - Dazzling Gleam
    - Focus Blast

EV spread (suggested on Smogon) allows Xerneas to get the jump on most foes to get off Geomancy off. I choose Dazzling Gleam to get the spamming attack in case of its partner getting Faked out or Knocked out. It also does roughly 80% damage to those who are neutral to it
Focus Blast is there to do two things. Cover steel types that weak to it (if it lands) and prevent it from being walled from Wide Guard.

    +2 252+ SpA Xerneas Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 52 SpD Ferrothorn: 254-300 (140.3 - 165.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
    +2 252+ SpA Xerneas Focus Blast vs. 56 HP / 0 SpD Heatran: 288-340 (166.4 - 196.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

    Cresselia @ Rocky Helmet
    Ability: Levitate
    Level: 50
    EVs: 252 HP / 172 Def / 84 SpD
    Bold Nature
    - Energy Ball
    - Psychic
    - Helping Hand
    - Toxic

Cress is the standard support poke. I choose Energy ball to attack water types, but Im thinking of changing it back to Icy wind for speed control.

    0 SpA Cresselia Energy Ball vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Primal Kyogre: 36-44 (17.4 - 21.3%) -- possible 5HKO
Helping hand just helps Groudon Beast out Earthquakes and Rock Slides. Toxic is there to break down super bulky types such as Cress.

    Groudon @ Red Orb
    Ability: Drought
    Level: 50
    Shiny: Yes
    EVs: 252 HP / 76 Atk / 4 Def / 156 SpD / 20 Spe
    Adamant Nature
    - Earthquake
    - Overheat
    - Rock Slide
    - Protect

Groudon is my Rock of the team and could use some help. This spread is a smogon suggestion that I ran with. I have had success with this. I dont always run Groudon first. I would like to run more of a mixed set but with more speed investment

    Aegislash @ Weakness Policy
    Ability: Stance Change
    Level: 50
    EVs: 252 HP / 100 SpA / 156 SpD
    Quiet Nature
    IVs: 0 Spe
    - King's Shield
    - Wide Guard
    - Shadow Ball
    - Flash Cannon

    Weavile @ Focus Sash
    Ability: Pressure
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
    Jolly Nature
    - Fake Out
    - Knock Off
    - Icicle Crash
    - Poison Jab

Ive been looking in Mega Kang. Since I dont have a Mega in this set. I was going to make that standard with ice punch to have ice coverage. Would like thoughts on that.

    Thundurus (M) @ Sitrus Berry
    Ability: Prankster
    Level: 50
    EVs: 32 HP / 120 Def / 36 SpA / 68 SpD / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature
    - Thunderbolt
    - Hidden Power [Ice]
    - Taunt
    - Thunder Wave

I swapped the Spe and Hp ev suggestions to ensure all Taunts and T-waves land with the exception of Liepard.
I am also looking to replace HP Ice. Because it really doesnt do much damage with this spread and I have it more as a support role.

    Common leads

    Xerneas + Weavile/ Kang

Its a simple lead set Fake Out Especially Liepard plus Geo. Xerneas Spams with Dazzling Gleam and the other cleans up whats leftover

    Other Leads

    Xerneas + Thundurus

Usually Thundurus is selected is when there is a threat of a Prankster even if its Liepard. Which case I'll wind up with a Weavile + Thundurus lead. Thundurus doesnt usually stay around long. Due to frailty, but usually establishes what I want it to do before it faints.

    Groudon + Cress/Thundurus

Groudon comes up when it looks bad for Xerneas. I dont usually put Weavile up next to Groudon because Weaviles purpose is to support Xerneas. Thundurus is there for other pranksters but Cress is chosen 80% to use helping hand and eliminate as much as possible.

So I like this team. It does need work and would like peoples input on this team and maybe some adjustment. Thanks for your time.

All I can say here is Precipice Blades > Earthquake on Primal Groudon. It's stronger, doesn't hit Groudon's partner, is still decently accurate, and still targets both opponents.

Yeah you definitely want to run Icy Wind or some other support option over Energy Ball on Cress. That damage is pretty bad and you could use an extra support move.

You might also need to tinker with Xern's EV spread. That spread is specifically for Ubers singles, and for whatever reason meant to combat Genesect (28 Def causes it to get a Sp.Attack boost instead of an Attack boost, and 44 Speed is to just outspeed the Scarf version at +2), an extremely rare 'mon in that tier and one that's banned in VGC. You obviously want max Sp.Attack, but configure the rest so Xerneas can outspeed common Scarf and/or Speed boosting threats in doubles, and then put the rest into bulk.

If you want Fake Out+ice coverage, yeah you can use Mega Kanga. You can also use Mega Lopunny too, trading some bulk for Speed and the ability to hit Ghosts more reliably/without needing a Dark move. Either way Weavile's probably not good on the team.

You could also potentially lead with both Xern and Primal Groudon. The two basically beat everything the other doesn't like and both blow through teams with relative ease. Maybe swap Overheat with Fire Blast/Fire Punch though. Overheat's Sp.Attack drop isn't great to have in battle. It's one thing if you plan to use it to snipe like maybe one thing a match, but chances are you'll need/want to use it more than once, especially given how Focus Blasts misses a lot and Ground immunites and/or Wide Guard are kinda common.

First off, I agree with changing Cresselia's Energy Ball. I'd change the whole set, honestly. I currently am running:
    Spoiler:

although you should probably replace TR with Gravity on your team.

Xerneas's EVs need to be messed with a little. I think something like this
    Spoiler:

Sadly I cannot tell you exactly what that spread does, but it's the one Se Jun Park used in Generation Showdown and it's worked well for me so far.

On Groudon, the EVs should be changed. Honestly, I'd just go with 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe with a Hasty/Naive Nature. Definitely change out Earthquake for Precpice Blades, though; especially if you're going with Gravity on Cresselia, which makes PBlades 100% accurate. I'd also change out Overheat for Fire Blast and possibly Rock Slide for Stone Edge, as Rock Slide, in my opinion, just doesn't do enough work as it did in past gens.

Not much to say about Aegislash here. I'd just replace Flash Cannon with Iron Head (to do more damage against Xerneas) and possibly go with 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpA if your current EV spread isn't doing much for you.

As for Weavile, I honestly would just replace it with a standard Kangaskhan set. Kangaskhan is an all-around very effective Pokemon in this meta (as it was in '15) and fits on pretty much any team, especially if you want Fake Out support.

Possibly replace HP Ice on Thundurus with Focus Blast, if you want an offensive move. Otherwise, go for Role Play, as it allows you to lead Groudon + Thundurus. Since your Groudon would be fully Speed-invested, it most likely would not keep Desolate Land up against a Kyogre or Rayquaza, so having Role Play on hand would allow you to set up again.

Just my suggestions. Overall, a pretty solid-looking team so far. Good luck :)
