Bias aside, I do believe CommanderPigg earns the spot. And by the looks of the poll, it's apparently going that direction. The banner represents the little conflict and simplicity the Shipping Debates should be. In terms of meaning and art, I like it. If I weren't a Negaishipper, trust me on that I'd definitely love it.

You're right. We all were focusing on the "shipping" part, but CommanderPigg's banner manages to show off the "debate" part as well. It also uses the Best Wishes/Black and White cast, which goes hand and hand with the actual anime right now.

CommanerPigg, I've got to give you props on that banner. It covers the aspect of shipping debates so well and the style of the banner in itself is very appealing. I think it's definitely a piece that can fit well into the Shipping Debates thread.

I made my vote earlier but CommanerPigg; you need to teach me how to make awesome banners. I loved everyones banner though; showing both Satoshi and Iris going after Dento. Hey it's what we do in the shipping debate; debate on which character should go with which. This was such a hard choice for me to pick. All of them came out great! Kirby your banner was just awesome. Not just because of the fact that you used Ruby and Feebas but the color theme went well with it! I enjoyed Forever banner as well since the colors reminded me of Valentines day a bit. I'm not forgetting about you Derozio. Although your banner isn't Pokemon; it's still very nicely done and I loved the way you put everything together in it. Also Rengeration had a nice banner as well. I couldn't decided which one to choose out of you or Commanerpigg but either way all banners just made me glad that I joined the shipping debate.

Deviantart and Livejournal are great sources for tutorials and textures :) But I'm not really a graphics artist, so I find it hard to keep up with all the trends (hence why my style looks really outdated >_>)

but either way all banners just made me glad that I joined the shipping debate.

I must say I had a hard time choosing between Regeneration and CommanderPigg. @_@
They are both beautiful banners.
Though Commander's shows both the Shipping and debate things, aaaand it has Dento in it I like the simplistic style. :D
And Regeneration has a very nice background and editing as well. >n<

But seriously, I should've thought better than to enter such a contest with a sort of banner I've made. It fits valentine's day, alright. But shipping debates? Naah, the banners made by Commander and nearly all the other members fit it sorta better than mine. I would've stood a better chance if I had only gone for a pokémon based banner...

And yeah, Commander, I must say that I was captivated by the beauty of your banner. Like others said, it captures the essence of both 'shipping' and 'debates' in such a perfect way that my words may not be enough to describe it. I really liked it. Hence, Commander got my vote. Others were nice too, but commander's entry outshone theirs imo. But of course, I'm nobody to speak since I'm a failure with 0 votes. XD; Keeping votes aside, I'm actually happy that my work managed to catch some eyeballs. Even though it didn't get many (read any) votes, I'm still flattered by the fact that some people complimented it..I'm happy. :]
