Wake up. Wake up. WAKE UP!

Thread title reminds me of a song I can't remember.
I'm a deep sleeper. The worst part for me, about sleeping, is having to wake up early in the morning. Especially since I've only been sleeping for 4 to 5 hours since last week. I hate disturbances during my sleep. And my internal clock doesn't work as efficiently XD;
And the mornings are too cold for me. ;;

Alarm clocks are evil. As are fire alarms. I've only been woken up three times by a fire alarm since starting college, one of which happened today. x_x I can be a heavy sleeper or a light sleeper depending on the conditions around me. I can put up with my boyfriend snoring though. :P

I think deep sleeper would be the most accurate description. It takes me a long time to fall asleep usually, I'll just be lying in bed for about an hour or so before I actually do manage to get to sleep. When I do get to sleep, I usually wake up frequently just at random, but then I'll fall back asleep within 5-10 minutes because I'm not quite awake but not sleeping. If left without any alarms I'll usually end up sleeping about 12 hours, but after about 5 hours I'll start waking up every hour then falling back asleep again.

As for noises and distractions, they can't ever seem to wake me up. I remember mentioning this before, but I've slept in a room whilst people were talking, watching TV and generally being loud, and I didn't wake up at all. I have to have 2 alarms as well, because half the time just one alarm doesn't even manage to wake me up.

Anything wakes me up. The light. A noise. The blanket falling down. Anything.

In fact, when I turn the alram clock on, I always wake up a couple of minutes earlier so I actually turn it off before it even starts making any noise. I don't know how I got that habit XD

I would say I am a very deep sleeper and I'll tell you why. One time when I was 7-8 years old and my grandparents looked after a caravan park, and I would stay in one of the caravans (with family of course :P). These caravans had bunk beds, and me being young, I just had to sleep on the top bunk. One night, I was sleeping, and somehow happened to roll off the bed onto the floor. My dad and uncle heard a big thud and then saw me on the floor. They proceeded to take me inside the main building. The next morning came and I woke up and wondered what I was doing in the main building. They then told me all about what I had done and what had happened to me. So yes, I am a very deep sleeper.
What? The same thing happened to me. When I was just a young kid, I love sleeping on the top bunk. One night, I fell asleep and the next morning my parents were looking for me. Apparently, I fell to the floor, and roll to the bottom of the bed. So yes, I'm a very deep sleeper.

I am not a deep sleeper. I never really have been.

If someone so much as walks outside my door, I hear it. (This is at home where we have hardwood floors that creak a bit--I'm not quite the same with carpet.) If someone walks up the stairs, I'll typically hear it. It's pretty annoying.

Lately I've been an even lighter sleeper than normal, what with insomnia. I'll get to sleep and about half an hour later, hear the fridge in another room whir for some reason and wake up. Or some electronic device in my room starts flashing one LED light and I'll wake up. Or god forbid the sun comes up an hour later--I'm up because it's too light out. D:

Though I've also been known to sleep through my alarm somehow so... go figure. XD

I'm a light sleeper. I need darkness and silence. I wake up easily.

I tend to go to bed anywhere between 12:30PM and 2AM. And wake up anywhere between 7:30AM and 9AM. If I have an appointment or something, manage to wake up on time just by thinking about the night before XD I have no alarm clock. Only a watch on my bedside table to check the time when I wake up.

Sleep is also just... nothingness to me. I do it because I have to. I don't usually wake up feeling refreshed. I just am.

I'm a very deep sleeper. If I absolutely have to wake up at a certain time, I'll always set at least two alarms (usually my phone and my DS or iPod) at max volume to go off at the same time. Sometimes even then I won't hear it.

Apparently I've also sat up in bed and talked to people if they wake me up and ask me something, but I never remember doing so when I wake up in the morning. XD

I am a pretty heavy sleeper.
I can sleep through most things, unless there is something in my room or someone opens my door. Then I am wide awake.

It reminds me of a Lostprophets song but it might not be the one you're thinking of xD

I'm an average sleeper. Sometimes I have trouble getting to sleep, but once I'm asleep Im fine. I can wake up once or twice in the night but only because I'm thirsty or need the toilet or something xD

I consider myself a deep sleeper to a very strong degree. People have been know to try there damnest to wake me up, shaking, yelling, etc even trying to force me to stand up and even then they only end up with me some how responding them in my sleep. On a few occasion the waker actually thought they succeeded until they realized I was just repeating them same thing over and over again.
Buuut that was when I was younger, so I don't have any reports of my responsive sleeping coming in, but plenty of hell raising attempts to wake me.

Without my 9 hours of sleep, its just not likely it'll happen.

No Im not a deep sleeper. There are time where I pretend that I am a deep sleeper, but Im really just resting my eyes and listening to my surroundings. Curse my good hearing.....

I'm a light sleeper,everything wakes me up... I can't sleep unless I'm in a completely silent environment. It basically means I never sleep properly XP

Lol I thought I was the only one who did that...
I tend to turn around when I sleep...I wonder if it's cause I'm having nightmare's that I don't remember or it's just me...

I have a hard time actually *getting* to sleep, and any noise made during then will just keep me up longer. However, when I actually am asleep, nothing can wake me up. I'm a pretty deep sleeper, and this has only occurred recently. I actually used to be a very light sleep all through the night.

I am a night owl. I hate the morning so much, I never want to get up.

Naturally I am a very light sleeper, but I take medicine to help me fall asleep and it knocks me out cold, which is good because I go to bed so late @.@
