Mandel turned around to see the large pokemon before him and smiled.

"Thats very rude you know, to come up to total strangers and ask them of their names. Especially when one of them sleeps." Mandel said gesturing towards Lydia.

Mandel looked at their visitor he was very large and intimidating indeed.

"But if you insist my name is mandel, and this is Lydia." Mandel said.

The grass was slightly rustling as a cool breeze blew and the sun set over the horizon, plunging the field into a peaceful darkness.

"Now stranger, who might you be and what buissness do you have with us? Your not human and you don't have their scent, so you are more than likely an ally... So I ask again, what is your name and why would you have buissness with us?"

All of a sudden four black shapes flew over Lydia, Mandel, and Abe. A loud roar could be heard as they passed over at incredible speeds. The only thing the pokemon could make out was their general shape with blade like wings tapering forward and an ominous red hourglass painted on the underside of the human inventions. Underneath the smooth body of the jets several objects were attached, but what they were the pokemon didn't know. They quickly started to disappear on the horizon heading in the direction of Hearthome City. The pokemon had never seen anything like these before, but they had to be human devices which meant bad news.

Varik had not heard anything from the HR and he wondered if they were still intact. He few around the mountain instead of over it just to keep himself somewhat entertained. It didn't take him long to spot a town ahead of the fighters. "Hellion 2,3,4 climb to 8,000 and watch my six I'm going to buzz that town to see if there are any hostiles there," said Varik to his wingmen.

"Let me drop some napalm on it and find out that way," replied Hellion 2.

"Negative, it could be a human town," replied Varik grinding his teeth to hold back his anger at Jerome Blake, who was Hellion 2. The man was heartless, and had a passion for burning things too bad he was a great pilot and never stepped over the line in a way Varik could get rid of him. It could also be a pokemon town full of innocent pokemon that had nothing to do with the rebellion, but he knew to the Donegal Commonwealth or the Human Republic that didn't matter. He then rolled his aircraft into a 70 degree bank and boosted power to keep up his Airspeed. He then started his high speed turn around the town to see if he could make out anything.

Rumble

Sewer Exit

Rumble heard one of the noises he was most afraid of: dark power was cast againist him from the wall of the sewers. He turned and saw the general, Khufu, unleashing 5 shadow balls againist him.
The psychotic maniac was hit by two of those shadow balls in the shoulder and right hand, pushing him around the black waters. Even though his gel was always protecting him, these hurt as they melted into his gel, turning it black on the spot.

Rumble smirked in pain and half shut his eyes as the water was leading him out of the city.

"These balls.. they sure get 'round" mumbled Rumble and let out a laugh which echoed in the walls of the sewers, sounding like a growl of pain. Rumble looked forward in the darkness, only to see a set of bricks coming his way.

"Gah"
He smirked again as he smashed into the wall. His already damaged gel took all the impact, making him feel dizzy as he changed course to the left. Wow, I sure go with the flow lately..
Rumble's black humour was only purposed to take his mind out of the pain. His psychotic side was trying to convince him the pain was good, and that one day it'd be avenged. With that thought in mind, the pain was contained to a level where he could think rationally.

The light Rumble saw blinded his eyes. It was so intense - and he was starting to get used to the darkness. The sewers unloaded him onto a river. Exhausted, Rumble floated on the coast. His levitation altitude was extremely low and he was shaking the water of his gel. with eyes still half shut. Suddenly, he heard a voice from somewhere ahead. A voice he had heard before, which made him raise his head abruptly, taking a serious expression.

"Well, if it isn't Rumble."

Hector Arcturus was standing there, among the trees, with the light behind him blinding Rumble. Rumble's eyes widened -as much as the light allowed him- in surprise, ruining his serious expression.

"What's been going on while I was gone?"

Rumble gifted him a grin with a calm smile, although he was still in pain. He glanced at the huge scar on his left ribs to check on it. Then he decided to remove all his weapons and gadgets from his body to look on the damages. Three seconds later, while taking off his armor, he replied to the Arcanine before him.

"I thought you were dead." Said Rumble. He shook his head and looked him straight into his eyes, while placing the armor on the ground. His small body inside his gel felt relief as the heavy armor was removed.

"I guess I was wrong. In this case, if you're alive, I'd want to talk to you about our plans and strategies. Mind givin' me a hand here while I fill you in on what happened the last week?"

He asked with all the dignity he could muster in his state, his voice sounding like a whisper on his last sentence. His grin disappeared, leaving a calm and plain expression on his face as he started removing his weaponry from his gel body while sitting on the ground. The big black spots from Khufu's Shadow Balls seemed like gray under the light of the sun.

(There, if you want me to kill him off just drop me a //VM//)

"Me too. Now go, and prepare everything else. Check up on the others." Jack whispered in Mark's ear. He left the room and walked down the hall, almost getting trampled by a woman who was in a hurry. She looked worried. Mark kept walking, wasn't any of his business.

Mark left the prison and headed straight for General Ali, as he was the only person left to check up on. While making his way over to where Ali was he bumped into the new guy, Logan. "Ahem. Logan, I need to speak with you," Mark said "Your an important person in the Operation to get Oreburgh back in our hands. So now I guess i have to brief you on it. Follow me, please." Mark brought him back to the contest hall where his new map was still laid out. "I got to the meeting late, so I'll tell you the little i know, then. We'll be charging Oreburgh by means of Puma heli transports. The rest is pretty simple, just kick the pokemon out of the city, by means of billions of bullets. Got it, Good. I'll be leaving now." Mark walked out of the building and finished his original plans of finding Ali. Mark walked over to him, "Looks like everything is going well, I'll just be on my way then." Mark said before leaving

(Sorry, just didn't want to get stuck, since Arcaray hasn't posted in 5 days.)

Abraham Soule
Route 208

"I have no time for politeness. My name is-" said Abe, but he was interrupted by a strange sound from above. "What the h*ll is that?" Abe said, as one of these strange, black-winged objects flew by the Pokemon. Then, another followed. Abe, still looking up, said "Probably humans. That's no Pokemon I know of." said Abe. More came, and then, altogether, disappeared. "My name is Abraham Soule." said Abe, still looking up. "I'm headed towards Hearthome City, I am a member of the Pokerebellion."

"I was told that there would be other members here, and so I see it was not a lie. You can come with me, if you like. I can carry your friend, also." Abe gestured, removing his gaze from the sky. "But we should go now, those black devils will be back soon." Abe said, getting up and starting to walk.

Khufu restrained a laugh as two Shadow Balls penetrated Rumble's gel body, sinking in and leaving a blackish impression. He heard an unwelcome noise from above ground, and snapping his head back above to see --

He wished he hadn't. Three unfriendly-looking humans, each with an unfriendly-looking weapon, had surrounded him. Khufu's face dropped into fear as he realised how bad things looked, then glanced down at the manhole. It didn't look like it would be very pleasant to drop down through there, but it was his only escape. A human smiled a disgusting smile with his black lips and teeth, or at least the teeth he had left. He looked nasty to even humans, but to Khufu he looked even worse. "Looks like we got the PR General here. Let's give 'im hell," he remarked.

Another human, evidently the leader, held out a hand. By human standards, he would have been considered good-looking, but to Khufu, even he looked like a monster. The human's eyes were on Khufu, and he could see that he kept glancing at the manhole as if he was about to go through it. Moving quickly, the human picked up the cover of the manhole and laid it down where it belonged. He frowned as he realised his aim hadn't been perfect: it was slightly off-centre, so the sewers below were still visible through a crack between pavement and rusted metal. With his last escape being sealed off, Khufu had to take action now or give up. He was too proud to give up, so naturally, he took action. A quick Shadow Ball to each of the humans' heads stunned them long enough for Khufu to lift the cover away. It was heavy, and if it had been placed over the hole, he wouldn't have been able to lift it. But that tiny gap that meant it wasn't perfectly in place gave Khufu enough leverage to push it away.

There was nothing Khufu could hear except the voices in his own head, and they were coming from everywhere and mixing together, so he couldn't hear one above the others. They were congratulating him, scolding him, telling him what to do next, and expressing his own doubts, all at the same time. They were dispersed when he felt an immense pain in his side, and felt the blood oozing out the wound. The nastiest of the bunch, who evidently hated Khufu the most, had shot him, and kept firing. Most of them missed, but one more hit Khufu's shoulder. It took strength for Khufu not to cry out in pain. Fortunately, he'd pushed the cover far enough away so that he could fit down through it. Crawling through was painful, and it was hard to breathe, but after a short struggle, he felt himself falling into the sewers, then felt water all around him, sweeping him in whatever direction it chose.

Doubts reached Khufu's mind again. Rumble was ahead somewhere, no doubt, and his reaction to the one who'd just been attacking him would be unfriendly, to say the best. His eyes closed, and he focused on breathing deeply to quell the growing fear in him, as the blood leaked out and mingled with the nasty waters of the sewers. He felt weak, but just when he felt at the edge of consciousness, he heard far-off voices.

"I guess I was wrong. In that case, if you're alive, I'd want to talk to you about our plans and strategies. Mind givin' me a hand here while I fill you in on what happened the last week?" It was Rumble's voice, no doubt there. But from the words, Khufu knew there was someone else there. He had a hunch, and when he floated out of the sewers into a river, and his eyes got used to the light there, he turned out to be correct. Dragging his body to shore, he stumbled onto land and forced a smile at Commander Hector Arcturus, trying to ignore Rumble.

"Finally, you're back. It's been hard to manage this one, Hector. I'm seriously doubting his motives by now." He glared at Rumble with the trace of a smile in his expression, as if a threat. He wasn't sure how to back up his threat, but still, that didn't mean it wasn't a threat. "I accepted a new Medic into the PR, Mandel's his name. He doesn't know much, but I'll let it slide."

Mandel frowned at the machines fluing overhead, it would take more than a lucky shot with a solar beam to finish that thing off.

"My name is Abraham Soule." The large pokemon said.

"I'm headed towards Hearthome City, I am a member of the Pokerebellion." He continued.

"Oh good!" Mandel said. "so are we."

"I was told that there would be other members here, and so I see it was not a lie. You can come with me, if you like. I can carry your friend, also." Abraham said.

Mandel considered for a moment and then decided it should be fine. It was dark out now, if they were going to get to Hearthome city before tommorow they would have to leave now.

"Alright then." Mandel said.

"We were heading in that direction anyway."

Mandel looked down at Lydia. He couldn't carry her and he wanted to let her sleep... he decided to let Abraham carry her. He lowered his head and grabbed the scruff of her neck, he then gently lowered her into Abrahams arms, doing his best not to wake her.

"Just..... be gentle with her ok?" Mandel said, Lydia was his only friend in the world and he couldn't bear the thought of her getting hurt.

Mandel and Abraham began the walk to Hearthome city, they walked for a while until they saw the beautiful, old styled buildings before them. They didn't have long to walk now.

"So... Abraham..." He began.

"Why are you heading to Hearthome?"

Evgeni Makarov
Hearthome City
Nighthawk Saloon

Evgeni sat on to the Bar stool, which was conviently open to him. The bar was empty this time of day, which Evgeni preferred. The bartender walked over to where Evgeni was seated and asked if he wanted a drink. Evgeni replied,

" A two-six of Stoli Gold please."

The bartender nodded and opened up a cabinet. After looking for a while, the bartender handed Evgeni a bottle of Stoli Gold. Evgeni opened it and began drinking. Evgeni threw thirty dollars on the table and left the Bar, holding his Stoli, taking the occasional drink. Evgeni walked over to the contest Hall, looking for something to do. He observed Hearthome City, which was well put together in Evgeni's mind. He sat down on a bench outside of the Hall, and took his last few drops of Vodka. Evgeni was angered by not having some Vodka in his hand and yelled,

" F***'n $***!"

Evgeni decided to throw the empty bottle, the bottle getting hit by a car. Evgeni saw another Soldier and walked up to the Soldier and asked,

" Hey, you got any Vodka?"

Evgeni read the soldiers nametag and it said Vargas.

Straining his head to view the town, and at the same time squeezing all his lower body muscles while breathing in a strange way that made it sound like he was saying "K-hic… K-hic" every three seconds Varik fought to keep the blood in his head while he pulled the high G turn. After circling the town and seeing nothing that would identify it as friend or foe he gently pushed the stick and pushed down on the right rudder petal pulling his jet into straight and level flight.

"Nothing here, turn to heading of tree-one-zero," said Varik as pulled back the stick to climb up to join his wingmates. Varik looked back over his shoulder at the town real quick before focusing on his current heading. A minute later he checked his map to see where he was going then keyed the radio button on his PCL, "Human Republic, this is Hellion 1, 53th Fighter Squadron, anyone out there?"

'Could the pokemon taken over this region? Were the Human Republic forces here? Did intelligence give him the right frequency,' thought Varik. He sat there for a second then started moving his radio through several channels. Then it hit him… the Human Republic might be using civilian frequencies not standard military channels. Where the HR not a bunch of rag tag militias? He changed to his victor radio and started shifting through them until he hear chatter. Listening for a second he heard plenty of chatter discussing casualties, pokemon, and everything in between. Keying his microphone he announced, "Human Republic leader or someone of importance, This is Hellion one. I have birds in the air. Now will someone give me the location of some targets before I go home without firing a shot."

--------------------------------------------------

Skyna released a wave of healing energy into a badly wounded Charmeleon. She tried to ignore the burning village that surrounded her. Once the town had been a beautiful little town surrounded in wonderful smelling flowers, but now it was a blazing inferno filled with the horrid smell of burnt flesh. Just then the Wish she had used earlier kicked in and the Charmeleon's wounds closed up enough for Skyna to know the fire Pokemon would survive.

Pulling out some bandages from a pack she wore she covered the gunshot wounds that almost took the Charmeleon's life. She then motioned over several Swablus that were perched on a sign that read "Floaroma." Looking up are the four Swablus the Gardevoir said, "He'll survive, but it will be a while before he can fight again… take him back to the main camp." The Swablus nodded and picked up the makeshift gurney the Charmeleon was laying on and took off toward the south.

Standing up, Skyna looked around for more wounded. She began to walk through the town in search of those who would need medical attention. The town's merger defenses had been easily overrun by the large Pokemon force, and the Pokemon causalities were minimal, in fact there were more medics than wounded.

Just then Skyna saw something that sent a harsh chill down her spine: the charred remains of a young human child. The body was so badly burnt there was no way to tell if it had been a boy or girl. The child's body was curled up around something as if to protect it. Gently lifting the body with her psychic abilities she discovered a small doll almost untouched by the flames. Picking it up with her left hand she looked at the dolls smiling yellow face before looking down at what remained of the child that had protected the Pikachu doll. The doll had several food stains around its mouth from the child trying to feed the inanimate object, and its once bright yellow cloth had been faded away from being washed a couple of times. One ear had the signs of being torn, but someone one had carefully sewn the tear up. Why did the human child protect the doll with its life?

Skyna carefully placed the doll in her backpack before leaving the town. Who was right in this war? Both sides were as equally ruthless. It seemed total annihilation of the opposing force would be the only acceptable outcome at this point. Skyna remembered her abuse in the hands of her trainer, but then her thoughts drifted to the humans like that child who seemed to care and her friend from long ago. Skyna's head spun… she hated the death and pain of the war, but it was needed to be free from the abuse from the humans. "Why is everything a shade of grey? Why can't there be a clear distinction between good and evil?" Skyna asked the surrounding trees out of frustration. Hearing a loud roar she knew the Pokemon force was leaving to continue on to Eterna. Sighing she turned back toward the burning town to rejoin the others.
She didn't want to be a part of this war, but she didn't want to be a slave again either. It was the lesser of two evils and for now helping the fight for freedom seemed to be her best option.

Althalos Fizen
Eterna City
Police department

Everything happened at once. Suddenly , Althalos was pushed towards some pokemon, presumably the reason he was sent there, and then the building collapsed. A piece of roof knocked him flat and a police officer helped him up. Althalos ran outside to see the helicopter firing at the escaping pokemon, A leafeon, a Reinculus, Lydia, and a pidgeot. His helicoter chased after said reinculus, and anoter came up from the airbase and started following the pidgeot, who was carrying the other two. Althalos decided that the helicopter could handle that, but still hoping that Lydia wouldn't be killed or if so, swiftly. He started to run after the reinculus witha group of soldiers. they chased it into an apartment, where it proceeded to jump out a window. The gelatinous pokemon made it's way to a sewer and jumped in. Khufu was there also. He seemed to have injured the Reinculus. Althalos Stayed back as the soldiers ran over to him and one put the man hole cover back on, but missed a little. Khufu knocked out each of them promptly and manged to lift the man hole cover off. Althalos ran up and crawled into the manhole. Althalos watched as Khufu's red fur disappeared and went in that direction. He soon came to the exit, the light from outside very bright after being in the tunnel, gripping the wall, and found the reinculus, Hector, and Khufu, all together. He checked his weapons, the only one that would really work would be his sniper, but that wasn't going to be fast enough, and his pistol was long gone and empty if he still had it. He still had his hidden blade though. He decided he would use his sniper for one shot and then use the blade. He slung his sniper out and took loose aim at Hectors side, seeing as he was currently in the best condition, and the reinculus, who he now recognized from a past event, had removed it's weapons. He had to make this shot count and at least weaken the commander. He lifted the sniper too his face and scoped the pokemon right where his lung should be, at least based on human anatomy, and pulled the trigger.

(There, now you can decide if I hit you, graze you, or miss entirely)

Mark Vargas
Hearthome
Umm.......

Mark was walking away when glass shatter. Instinctively, he spun around, pulling out his pistol and pointing it at where the sound had come from. A drunk came staggering up to him. "F**king just what I needed" he mumbled to himself. "Hey, you got any Vodka?" The slurred words came out of the man's mouth. "No, sorry I don't, haven't had a drink myself since canalave fell." Normally a drunk wouldn't annoy him, but he was stressed out and still hasn't slept since he left sunyshore. "Do yourself a favor, try not to drink yourself drunk. And stay out of the bar for the rest of the night, and off the road." Mark said "Are you part of the HR? If you are you better sound off like you got a pair!" Suddenly a voice came over his radio, why it wasn't on military frequency he didn't remember. "Human Republic leader or someone of importance, This is Hellion one. I have birds in the air. Now will someone give me the location of some targets before I go home without firing a shot." the voice said. "Hellion one, This is first lieutenant Vargas, Were going to be launching a counter-op on Oreburgh soon. If you can find somewhere suitable to land near Hearthome, you have clearance to land. If not, we'll let you know when we launch the op, and please use military frequencies only, I don't even know why I'm on this frequency, Over." Mark said as he started running back to the prison, he should probably tell jack, though he had to admit he was being a pest, but oh well. Mark opened the main door. "Actually, hold on don't go anywhere." Mark said over the radio. He ran into the cells, and he wasn't there, but wade was, and he most likely knew where jack was. Vargas ran over, asking "Where did Jack go" Then he looked around the room, "And... what's going on here..." Lilac was cuff'd to a cell, and obviously in pain, and wade looked like he wasn't in the mood.

OOC: Sorry, Now less Sh*ty post.

Varik looked at his map and shook his head while thinking ',I was just there.' "LT, what is the frequency being used?" asked Varik. After he got the military frequency from the Lieutenant he switched over to it after referencing the map on his knee board and said, "Ok LT… Redirecting to Hearthome City airport."

Varik didn't wait for the Lieutenant to get back with him. He turned his mike for the entire squadron to hear. "Flight 1 is heading to Hearthome airfields. All other flights head direct to the FOB and stand by for further orders." He switched his microphone over to his flight's frequency, "Let's hit the burners and get on the ground ASAP."

It didn't take long to back track to Hearthome, and get his bird on the ground. The civilians running the small airport just stared at the four fighter jets with this amazed look in their eyes. After the four pilots got out of their fighters Varik shot Jerome a glare and ordered, "Captain Blake you stay here and watch the aircraft and make sure those civies don't screw them up. You can leave your watch when one of us relieves you." Jerome scowled and then learned against his jet right next to the words he had stenciled on it himself reading "Watch them scream, and watch them burn."

Meanwhile Varik, Crystal, and Yuri made their way to the main hanger building. "Angel, Bird… go find yourself something to eat in town and catch a little shut eye. I'm going to go find who is in charge here," said Varik to his other two wing mates using their call signs instead of their names. Varik after hitting the latrine he walked into the manager of the airport's office and sat his helmet bag and his overnight bag on the floor and said, "Evening, I was wondering if you could get my birds into the hanger and get them refueled, also somewhere to sleep here would be nice."

The midsized manager who looked to be 20 years old looked over the pilot and quickly put down the phone said,"I was told you were coming… some local soldiers are on their way to guard your aircraft. My people should be pulling them in the hangar and getting them fueled up. As far as beds go... well there is a break room down the hall to the right with some nice couches."

Varik nodded and said, "Thank you." He then walked down the hall and found the small break room. After hanging his harness and G-suit on a nearby chair he flopped down on a couch. He then leaned up and removed his boots, and grabbed a protein bar out of his helmet bag before lying down again. He slowly started to eat the protein bar as he watched the fan on the ceiling above him slowly turn in circles. He couldn't get his mind at ease since he returned here. He wanted to see his friend again, but at the same time he was afraid to. He hadn't come back in 12 years and now he was back to fight in a war. What would she think about the things he had done back in Donegal? He both wanted to see her to make sure she was safe, but at the same time he hoped he never did. Would she even want to see him? Was she still alive? His hunger faded as his mind continued to debate what he wanted, and he only finished half the bar before setting it down on a small center table made of beat up old wood. He just laid there staring into space sorting through his thoughts while he waited for the call to go.

OOC not my best work but it will do for now

Rumble
Eterna Outskirts
River

"Finally, you're back. It's been hard to manage this one, Hector. I'm seriously doubting his motives by now."
A shot and seemingly exhausted Khufu was washed up. Rumble's senses were screaming something went wrong. He immediately got up his levitation, to answer to Khufu, but his fears were confirmed; he heard a loud shot coming from the sewers, probably from a sniper.
By getting up, Rumble accidentally covered Hector with his body. The shot went through his right arm, tearing it apart. Rumble with a shocked expression on his face, he didn't feel pain, but he felt like his hand was cut off. Massive amount of gel fell on the ground. He lowered levitation and caught the bullet in front of Hector's feet.

".50-cal. We need to get going," said Rumble in a simple tone, trying to get ahold of himself.

"I'll be fine.. For your information, general, everything I did was for the good of the PR. I never harmed a Pokemon since I joined. Scared some, but that's about it. If you treat your allies like that," he said and looked at the black scars of his body, his right arm hanging lifeless on the ground from two strings of gel.

"For just simple doubts, I wonder what you do to your enemies!"

But now that Rumble's eyes got used to the sunlight, he noticed a human standing behind the brush, just behind Hector.
Rumble's eyes widened and he raised his left arm, only to put it down again with pain written all over his face.

"Hector, who is this?" asked in an abrupt and shocked voice. Rumble understood it must be Hector's ally or something. If the human wanted to kill them, he would have done it already.

Hector heard Khufu come over. He was happy to see him alright, but kept his everlasting stone expression on his face.

"Finally, you're back. It's been hard to manage this one, Hector. I'm seriously doubting his motives by now. I accepted a new Medic into the PR, Mandel's his name. He doesn't know much, but I'll let it slide."

Hector nodded at this. He would meet with and figure out Mandel's personality later. Right now, there was a more pressing issue. Rumble got up, only to get hit by a bullet on his arm. Hector and Jun prepared as Rumble examined the bullet.

".50-cal. We need to get going," Hector nodded.

"I'll be fine.. For your information, general, everything I did was for the good of the PR. I never harmed a Pokemon since I joined. Scared some, but that's about it. If you treat your allies like that,", He heard Rumble say. Hector didn't know the full details about what's been going on between Rumble and Khufu, but he would soon find out. Still, he wondered why Khufu didn't take over command, since he was second in command before. It sounded like Rumble was more in charge. They proceeded to move, until Rumble stopped as he saw Jun.

"Hector, who is this?"

Hector spoke now.

"I'll explain everything when we aren't in imminent danger. Don't worry, he's with us. You can trust him."

Hector proceeded with the others outside into the sunlight. He turned back to them as they ran.

"We should make our way to Oreburgh! I hear you guys captured it, correct? We'll be able to speak freely over there."

The exhausted Leafeon placed the sleeping Zorua in Abe's palm. He clenched his fingers a little so as not to let the sunlight annoy the Zorua's ears, making his fingers act like a shade for the small creature. "Just..be careful with her, ok?" said Mandel. "Yes." Abe said simply. "So...Abraham...why are you heading to Hearthome?" Mandel said. "Because it's the nearest city that's not in control of those humans." replied Abe. "I went into Mt. Coronet simply because it makes me feel good, but the I got lost. A small band of Pokemon showed me out, and then told me about you." Abe said.

A little while later, they were approaching the buildings that were clearly distinguishable as Hearthome. Abe remembered when his owner brought him here. They battled the gym, when Abe was still a Golett. He snapped out of it and asked Mandel "Well, then, what about you? Why are you heading to Hearthome? And why do you and your friend have all these injuries? They are obviously fresh and still healing. So don't tell me you tripped over a rock."

"Its a long story Abraham..." Mandel replied.

"It all happened at the Eterna PD, we were being chased by a human flying machine, slightly similar to the ones we saw earlier, Lydia used protect to sheild us from the bullets but one caught her straight in the leg, I put her on my back and we ran to Mt.Coronet, just before we got inside a missile launched us forward, I had no choice but to face the chopper, I managed to destroy it but I badly injured myself in the process, throwing myself backwards by causing a massive explosion. I landed beside
Lydia and used my last ounce of power to heal her, I passed out and awakened a little while later to find us being escorted by the pokemon you mentioned. We exited the cave and Lydia fell asleep and then you showed up..." Mandel finished his story while looking over at Abraham.

"As for why we're heading for Hearthome city... Its where she said she wanted to go." He looked over at Lydia.

"However for what reason I don't know..." Mandel said.

They arrived at Hearthome city at roughly ten O'Clock that evening.

"Well we're here... we should probably find some place to sleep the night..." Mandel said as he trotted off into Hearthome city.

Althalos Fizen
Eterna outskirts
Sewer exit

The pokemon didn't seem to want to attack him. They started moving away from him, to Arceus knows where. Since they weren't attacking Althalos, he decided to unload the rest of the clip on them. He re chambered and fired as fast as humanly possible, finally emptying the 15 round clip. He ran at Hector, who had unfortunately not been hit by that first, aimed shot, and unsheathed his blade. He plowed his shoulder into the arcanines ribs, knocking him flat from the momentum. "Remember me?" he had a cruel glint in his eyes as a stabbed the blade into the pokemons rib area. He gave to more quick stabs and then backed off the pokemon. "How's that for an assassination attempt? Now, who's next?"

There were not too many humans out and about in Hearthome, but it was still dangerous to be walking in the open for a pokemon. As Mandel was about to trot by a small diner on the outskirts the door swung open and two humans stepped out. They were wearing green one piece flight suits and both had pistols on a harness that hung loosely from their shoulders. They stopped for a second to look around then started walking off east toward the mostly unknown airfield. "That was a good meal… especially after 10 straight hours of flying, I wonder why Winchester didn't join us?" said the man who had a single silver bar on his shoulder and blue flight cap.

The female pilot with short blond hair shrugged and said, "Something besides Torch seems to be bugging him. I know this is where he was born, but the guy never talked about missing any family here."

"I don't know… I heard from someone else he had a friend here or something he had planned to come back and see but he just never made the trip," replied the man.

"I don't know a friend he hadn't seen in 12 years? That can't…" replied the woman, but by this point the two were too far away from the pokemon to hear enough to understand the two.

Meanwhile Varik had gotten up 10 minutes ago from his micro nap and was now watching the ground crew put the final jet into the 4th hanger at the end of the runway. He glanced over at the kid, who couldn't have been older than 16, in charge of security and muttered something under his breath about the kid's age and being a soldier. Seeing the last plane secured Varik looked around at the meager defenses and shook his head. He should have fallen back to the FOB, but it was too late now to change his mind. He wondered when the call would come giving them the green light to launch as he turned around and started back toward the main airport building. At least the hangers were situated in such a way he could watch them from the break room he was using as a temporary sleeping area.

Hearthome Outskirts

Abe listened while Mandel explained the situation. He wanted to ask more, like why they were heading toward a human-infested city, and what they were doing at the Eterna PD in the first place. Were they chased there by the chopper, or were they already there when the chopper started chasing them? Either way, he had to admire Mandel's courage, facing the chopper with those dim odds.
Abe decided to let it go for now, the two were clearly still exhausted, and the sun had already gone down.

Abe lifted his fingers from above Lydia's head. Since the sun was gone, it wouldn't matter if the Zorua had shade or not. Abe examined Lydia and saw that her leg was still bleeding. "I see." Abe said. As he kept walking.

Soon, they arrived in Hearthome City. The place was crawling with humans, which could be seen from afar. "Well, we're here, we should probably find some place to sleep the night..." said Mandel. Abe turned his head toward him and said "Well, that'll be hard. But I've been here before. If I'm not mistaken, the Pokemon Center has been out of commission since the war started. We can hide in the cellar there." Abe replied. He led the way, managing to sneak past various human soldiers, despite his immense size. "I don't know why your friend wanted to come here, but this is dangerous." Abe whispered while they were hiding behind a dumpster. They advanced, until they were right in front of the Pokemon Center. "Hey! Pokemon! I see Pokemon!" exclaimed a human from behind. "Damn! Get in the Center, quick!" Abe said to Mandel, readying himself to crush these mongrels.

Sorry, in my last post I thought Hearthome was overtaken by Pokemon. So I had to change it.

Hearthome outskirts

"Damn! Get in the Center, quick!" Abe screamed, ready to crudh the humans.

"Right!" Maneel said, throwing Lydia onto his back.

He ran to the center door to find it locked shut.

"Arceus damn it!" He cried.

He put Lydia on the ground beside him. It was obvious that the center hadn't was in terrible misuse. The windows and doors were boarded shut and the orange paint had begun to peel off and reveal the shiny metalic appearence underneath. He turned to see the humans advancing on Abe, in the distance the contest hall was visible.

Mandel rammed the door repeatedly but that only proved to hurt him, He had an idea. He focused himself and turned his tail, metalic, he began to slowly hack away at the boarded doors, util he broke through. He carefully deposited Lydia inside. *The girl can sleep through anything...* Mandel thought.

He ran back outside and stood by Abraham.

Mandel sighed.

"Lets try to do this quickly and silently, so no more show up."
