WARNING: Counterfiet Pokemon cards found in Legends-packed products.

It wasn't that long ago that I ordered an old promo card online and it came with some bonus cards (commons & energy). Of course, as a collector, I hold the cards up to the light to check if they're real. The promo card was real, but I could see thru the common extras. I wasn't going to complain about it since they were just "extras," no extra cost.

Later I went to Wal-mart to buy another pack of Pokemon cards (which happened to be one of those Legends-packed "blister packs" I think they're called, with some pre-opened cards included). Just out of curiosity one day, thinking about the extras that were sent to me with my promo, I decided to check these as well. Sure enough, fake. I could clearly see the PokeBall thru them when held against light. (The cards in the boosters themselves were real, though.)

These fakes look VERY real. When I compared them to the real versions, I couldn't see a difference, rather than the back of the fake cards which were slighty darker (more saturated) than the backs of the real cards, but the difference was barely noticable.

So this is a warning to those of you who buy these Legends-packed products. The "bonus" cards included in the packages may be fake.

Eeyouch that's NO good! I'm gonna have to check some of mine, I'm not sure if I got one of those packs or not... I don't think so but it's worth checking out all of the cards I have for the Legends set, thanks for the heads up.

I've noticed that a lot of things like this have spiked recently, from these fake cards to the fake bootleg Pokemon games I've encountered, and theft........ :(

I'm not referring to a Legends "set." I'm referring to the packs of cards that have been re-packed by the Legends company. You know, those plastic things that have the "L" on them that you can find cards in...

I'm confused about this "Legends packed products" when I saw this warning. Is it something like this:
A box that says "Diamond and Pearl Majestic Dawn" on the front and, when the box is opened, a Meganium from the Mysterious Treasures set is in the box, correct?

I've not noticed any Legends-paceked "boxes," only Legends-packed boosters. You know when you look at the shelf and see the Pokemon booster packs that are packed inside a plastic case (not those with paper backs) and have extra pre-opened cards inside? You'll also notice an L-like mark on the case (example attached). The extra cards could be from any set, not just the same set as the booster.
