Warp Panels have been a recurring feature in almost every pokemon generation, from gym puzzles to crime hideouts. So my question is:

What is your view regarding this really annoying, but rather creative, effect?

me, i am simply annoyed by them. I hate side-paths, TBH. I always wanted a straight path to my goal, and no sidepaths containing some really precious thing. (nuggets, masterball) and I suck at remembering how they really connect.

    what's yours?

I've never been too annoyed by them, except when multiple warp panels lead to the same place, or some warp panel you think will be useful takes you right back to the entrance of the location. Then it gets confusing and frustrating.

I like that Warp Panels add a little bit of mystery and chance (well, sorta) to the all-too-often mind-numbing Team Rocket hideout exploration mission or what have you. Having said that, I've always played with strategy guides sitting next to me, so I find warp panels more of a nice distraction rather than an insurmountable obstacle. I can certainly understand why other people hate them so, and I'd probably be more frustrated without my strategy guides, but I definitely wouldn't want to get rid of them.

I understand that we can find Warp Panel in BRY or GSC, but with the new possibilities that offer the games consoles, I would prefer to avoid things like that.
This is annoying and very unoriginal. I hope there won't be any Warp Panel in the next game, I prefer funny "gym challenges", and that isn't funny at all :)

This. Panels sometimes take you back to the entrance, and it does not work two-way. meaning when you step on the panel by the entrance, it does not take you back to where you first warped, rather you'll be warped to that same panel by the entrance.

I used to hate the Warp panels because when I started playing I was young and was just generally annoyed at how I always got stuck on them. Now though, I still find them challenging but they're a nice challenge. I'd say Saffron City was the biggest case of annoyance for me. ): It took me forever how to figure out how to do them. The Galactic Hideout ones are kinda annoying because you miss certain important items. Same with Silph Co. Although that puzzle is easy once you've done it a few times.

Oh, man; the warp panels were rather annoying for me to do. I always try out which warp panel leads to which room before I continue my way through a building.

I hate the warp panels so much. Real HYOOGE pain in the butt those things are. The Saffron City Gym was a huge nightmare...

It's funny for me. I hated warp panels but now I really started to take a liking to them. It used to be just that I'd try to finish the game as fast as possible and move on to some other game. Nowadays, I play for the enjoyment of just running around and beating up other trainers senseless or finding every possible item so I like that the warp panels lengthen my game time.

Silph Co had the most fun warp panels, especially after you got the card key since you could warp everywhere without worrying being lost or anything. Saffron Gym was pretty fun. I usually found myself beating all the trainers then randomly going around in circles until I magically got to Sabrina. Then there was the trouble of getting out.

Warp panels arent that annoying to me. I actually find them to be quite fun.

The ones in Saffron City gym were annoying though, took me awhile.

Great question because I find these "warp panels" to be very annoying and they make me want to either look up the path on youtube or use a walk through walls code to just get through it. If they got rid of those warp panels, my finish time would be a hour less xD.

I like the warp panels and spin panels in Pokemon. They are good fun. I will agree with Yoshiko though. The original RBY Silph Co was the don of all warp panel shenanigans. It seemed endless and I remember forgetting to save it for ages one time and I encountered my rival and he wrecked my battered team. I was a sad panda.

I always thought warp panels in any game except, uh, Mega Man or like Medabots or something, were kind of stupid.

I think warp panels are kind of fun - I wouldn't know where I'd be going at every one of them. ^^ IIRC you'd get to the destination on the warp panel furthest from you but I think that's for the villanous team's hideouts, idk XD
