*randomly rawrs*
Hmmm. I dunno what to do with this random story intro. What should happen next??
The darkness was reminiscent of some buried memory... something far off and hazy, something that managed to now terrify me despite its distant presence. In a destructive dance, the wind tore up the willow branches with frustrated gusts, and I ducked my head as lightning flashed its warning across the swirling sky. Still, ignoring every scream of my body and every roar of nature that was telling me to run, I couldn't move my feet. I couldn't move my legs, as I stared out at where the lake would've been if I could've seen through the rain. The frozen numbness travelled its way up through my muscles and bones, chilling my body from the inside out.
It was all happening again. I didn't know what "it" was... but, there was a sort of frightening nostalgia in the sensations I was experiencing that told me it had certainly occurred before. From the depths of my heaving chest I breathed an apology, a goodbye, and a promise, not fully conscious of what my dusty past was trying to express in those whispers.
In the end, there was no point to my mumbled creed - it lost out to the rumblings of thunder and was quickly washed away in the downpour... along with the fragments of my dashed humanity.
