Football, is a sport played between two teams of eleven players with a spherical ball. It is played by 250 million players in over 200 countries, making it the world's most popular sport. The game is played on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The object of the game is to score by using any part of the body besides the arms and hands to get the football into the opposing goal.

Who are you supporting at the World Cup?
I'm supporting Croatia at the World Cup. I've been supporting Croatia ever since their 3rd place finish back in 1998, for which they moved a huge amount of places into 3rd as well. Brazil is gonna be a really hard opening game, because Simunic and Mandzukic aren't there for it.

Who are you supporting at the World Cup?
I'm supporting Croatia at the World Cup. I've been supporting Croatia ever since their 3rd place finish back in 1998, for which they moved a huge amount of places into 3rd as well. Brazil is gonna be a really hard opening game, because Simunic and Mandzukic aren't there for it.

Welcome, Croatia has always been the black horse, I won't be surprised if they do another surprise this year :)

I felt like answering all the questions, so I did.

Favourite player: (of all time) Sami Hyypia, (current) Steven Gerrard

Favourite moments in football: Gerrard scoring winner against Olympiakos in group stages of 2004-05 Champions League, and winner of the 2006 FA Cup final, Dossena's lob against Man Utd in 2009, Xabi Alonso's goal against Newcastle Utd from his own half, Riise's freekick against Man Utd in 2001.

My formation: 4-3-3

Player I'd bring at my club: Any decent left back

Team I'd be supporting at the World Cup: None. My country didn't qualify.

Team with best chance to win the World Cup: Brasil, Germany

Team going to win the Champions League: Bayern Munich probably. Or Real Madrid. Don't really care.

Who will you be supporting at the World Cup?: Some might call this crazy, but I will be supporting four countries at the World Cup. The four countries I will be supporting are United States (have to support my home country), England, Germany, and Italy. I have been supporting these countries since either the 2002 or 2006 World Cup

Just noticed this, I'm liking the layout of the opening post especially the member list with the club icons next to the members. Worth mentioning there's a thread on football in the culture and media section too since some of you may not have seen it. :)

On to the questions..

Favorite team - Middlesbrough FC

Who is your favorite player? - Cristiano Ronaldo

What is your favorite moment in football? - It's an odd one because in the grand scheme of things it didn't make much difference, but the first real football game I went to Middlesbrough beat Bolton in a 4-3 thriller with a last minute goal. That goal was pretty epic due to it being my first game and all.


If you're the manager of your favorite club, how would your formation looks? - 4231 with wingers all the way.

If you could bring a player to your team, who would it be? - Cristiano Ronaldo if it was any player of course. But a bit more realistically, I'd like to see Shay Given back soon.

Who are you supporting at the World Cup? - England unfortunately

Who do you think have the best chance to win the World Cup? - It's Germany's time imo, but then I say that every tournament so who knows.

Who do you think are going to win the Champions League this season? - Real Madrid. They're the strongest team on paper in my opinion and they look set for a special season now. Only Bayern should be able to stop them really.

Probably Germany 4-0 win over Argentina in 2010 World Cup, everyone in my school were mocking me for supporting Germany :')
