Heh, I've been in a few documentries n' what not from projects taken in our school, but other than that nothing else much. A lot of stuff gets filmed around where I live (Cardiff) Doctor Who is shot a lot around there. xD; I was chosen to be in a picture for a newspaper article when I was like, 10 too.

I haven't seen a move at the movies for years. I'm way too cheap for that, with these high prices.

I couldn't imagine not going to the movies. The cinematic experience is just so important to seeing a movie, I can't... people download everything and watch it on their computer these days, I can't handle the thought of seeing a movie for the first time in such a cold environment.

Best thing about going to the movies is when you get a theatre all to yourself and your friends and you can talk and laugh and make jokes and point at things and you can put your feet up on the chair in front of you. Nothing beats that.

Ahh Scarf I agree. I'm so the kind of person that talks during movies, so it's really nice when I actually can. It's hard to keep my comments to myself :(

I know what you mean. I remember going to see Harry Potter and (the one with the big hedge maze... what? I can't remember all the names) and someone on screen shouted "Reducto!" and my friends and I burst out laughing because we'd all been watching Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law earlier where there's a character named Reducto:

I suppose you had to be there and have to know the show to find this funny. :/ Got a lot of angry looks for that. I'm usually very good about being quiet.

Harvey Birdman was Ace Attorney before there even was an ace attorney.

Once I was in the theater with just my friend there and one other group of adult women near us, older, looked like 50s or so. A preview came on for like...Bridesmaids or some other chick flick and as soon as it ended we heard one of them saying "mumblemumblemumbletramp." We were like "lol, what?"

Oh my god, I'd hate all of you if you started talking while I was in a cinema watching a film. Loud popcorn chewers, people texting in the middle of a film and other such encumbrances I can deal with, but talking sends me into grouchy old man mode; all yelling at whippersnappers and such. It really pisses me off when groups of people (mostly teenagers, but occasionally obnoxious adults) seem to treat the cinema like its their friends living room or something. Ugh! [/rant]

And THAT'S why I don't go to theaters often. Pretty much everything that makes movies tolerable for me, since I'm not a big fan, goes out the window - I can't make jokes to my friends, I can't pause it to go to the bathroom or do something else, etc. So I just don't go because the only REAL upside is having really good popcorn, and I can live without the calories. xD;

Yeah the movie I saw with only one other group there was a popular movie...what was it? I think Horrible Bosses. But it was a popular, good movie but we saw it at an off-peak time not the weekend it was released so we were alright. xD

Totally agree, I hate people who spends the entire movie talking.

I get annoyed by people who talk, too, but sometimes I kinda enjoy watching people in the theatre if they aren't just being annoying. Like, if it's a scary moment I'll look around and see if anyone jumps or anything. Usually I just do that with my friends though.

I love scary moments in theaters. I found myself working at a theater for a while and there was a group of teenagers being jerks and causing a ruckus during a screening for I Am Legend. A police officer had to go to the room showing the film and ended up yelling at the group of teens just as a zombie screamed and attacked on screen. I think that was my favorite memory of that job.

Oh how I miss Harvey Birdman, it was one of my favorite non anime shows on Adult Swim. Not it's just crap like the Squidbillies and Tim and Eric.

I doubt mind if it's a comedy really since I was laughing out loud during parts of The Hangover Part 2, but for the most part I wish people would just go to watch the movie and leave the rest of their day for the outside stuff that doesn't pertain to watching the movie. I mean why go if your not their to enjoy it?

I thought Horrible Bosses was a flop? Just like with Ryan Reynolds other movie The Green Lantern.

EDIT: Wait that's the one with Jennifer Aniston? If so then I am thinking of the one were he switched bodies with the guy from Nip Tuck.

Talking/whispering and popcorn crunching (and popcorn bag rustling) are two things that drive me up the wall in theaters. I had both going on right behind me through half of Deathly Hallows Part 2 and I was about to kill someone.
