What annoys you about YouTube?

    I know that a lot of people here like going to YouTube and seeing their favourite videos or posting them, but I'd like to know if anyone has any personal beef with the site.

    In other words: "What is the most annoying thing on YouTube?"

    Personally, I'm not particularly fond of the Rickrolls (people playing vids to Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up"). AMVs are another.
     
    I really don't enjoy the quality of the videos. They're pretty bad if you ask me. Also, by quality I don't mean the actual video, well for for some of them yeah, I mean the viewing quality.
     
    --Hoax bulletins
    --Chain bulletins
    --users that spam you
     
    The quality of the video's annoy me, especially since my resolution is 1800x1440 because the videos are forced to stretch even bigger, reducing the quality again.

    Also, users that have no regard for others feelings.

    I don't like how a notable proportion of the userbase are ignorant, pompous pricks with anger management problems.
    Thus I'm not a member there.

    But yes, music videos really cloud the search results when you're after a original unedited scene of a movie or series.

    Add &fmt=18 onto the end of the URL (if it has something like &feature=related on it, remove that bit first). Doing this displays the video at its original video and audio quality, though needless to say it does increase loading time.
     
    I hate it how somebody on every video has to start an argument. It usually about something really stupid, too. It's annoying.
     
    *gasp* Nothing! It has been my home since December 2005. As someone said, you can fix the quality problem and have high quality visual and stereo audio. Some changes I don't like:

    - Can't see who has favourited your videos (used to be able to a LONG time ago)
    - Videos limited to 10 mins (for normal users - it used to be 20 mins and before then used to be as long as you like. Seriously, I watched the Mewtwo special in 1 part)
    - Last 5 people who logged on (LOL pointless now, though)
    - People who seem to be employed to take down copyrighted videos

    Otherwise, nothing really annoys me, I love YouTube
     
    Crummy slideshows of LQ fanart/screenshots with some music in the background and calling it an AMV. And AMVs with subtitles in them. And any AMV in general that's tacky or 'tells a story' (usually some cheap love story we've all heard a million times).
    Plus, a lot of the users who don't even bother to come up with a comprehensible comment. It's just chain letters, 7-year-olds arguing about some pointless sub-topic, [did I mention chain letters?] and thumb-up/thumb-down wars in there.
    I love youtube and all, but I avoid using the search function when it comes to AMVs and never read the video comments.
     
    I'm a YouTube fanatic, but it does have its bad qualities:

    -Video quality is bad
    -Now, the description doesn't tell you how many videos the uploader has when watching a video
    -People who use characters to make "the finger"
    -The all-around bad grammar of commenters

    Ugh I hate that

    1. Rickrolls
    2. copyrighted videos being removed - what about the Pokemon fans who DONT watch the dumb dub
    3. although this is rare, I see this now and then (free hentai chick hot teacher porn babysitter anime manga cartoon girl man crossdress. It kills my eyes
    4. the lack of dubbed anime (aside from Pokemon, I don't like watching subtitled anime... and even with Pokemon I watch the raw)
    5. poor excuses for AMVs
    6. how every time I type in something to do with anime, a gazillion Naruto videos pop up
    7. shipping videos, especially IkariShipping. I HATE that

    I love YouTube, but it needs 1. Better Quality and 2. When I'm trying to watch Family Guy Episodes don't post (insert curse word here) spams of Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up.
     
    My main pet peeve is searching for a music video and getting an AMV or a sildeshow of random pictures.
     
    Videos that aren't also available in high quality, AMVs (particularly those of the Naruto variety) that pop up when searching for a song/music video, also getting terrible cover versions by people from YouTube while searching for a song/music video, people who turn embedding off, etc.
     
    oh god, i hate it how people are just totally rude. *insert string of curse words and not making any sense* "OH I PWN3D YOU" yatta yatta. there are much better places for videos. enough said
