What are you currently studying?

All of you people studying in computer science, yet y'all never really post in Computers & Technology. :P
Hey! Tech is my day job. When I'm home, I want to be free from it. lol

Anywho, I have completed my formal education. I got my Bachelors in Information Technology, with a Specialized Honours in Management. Graduated Cum Laude and on the Dean's Honour Roll.

Following that, I earned my Masters in Information Systems & Technology. Don't remember what I graduated with. Probably the same.

It wasn't super programming heavy, though there was a good bit of that - especially in the later years. A lot of it was more about IT Management, or Systems Analysis & Design. More so the planning phases than the execution. Towards being a Business Analyst rather than a Software Developer.

Not to downplay to programming part. I did some pretty cool/difficult stuff. A lot of it. That just wasn't the end-goal of the program.

I'm really proud of most of the academic papers I had to write as part of my Masters. These long research projects that you had to dedicate so much time to, writing code and experimenting. I wrote unique algorithms for a search engine of my own design, which is far more mathy than I ever imagined I could be XD

Since being out of school, I've gotten certification relevant to my current career twice over. Planning on going for a third some time soon. So, even out of school there's learning to be done. And studying. Lots of studying >__<

Currently studying a Bachelors in Design Innovation majoring in Media Design. A lot of my focus within Media Design is mostly Game Design, but I do handle all sorts of other specializations such as Web Design, 3D Art, Animation and (soon) Mobile Media.

Also studying a bachelors in Information Systems, however I'm not 100% decided if I want to make it a conjoint with Design Innovation or just have it as a minor (currently leaning towards a minor right now). If I were to have it as a conjoint, I'd want to specialize in either IT Solutions or Business Analysis, but I'll figure it out if I want to make it a conjoint or not later.

Just about to start my 3rd year and hoping to finish mid 2016, so my time studying is almost coming to an end.

I've got one semester left before I graduate with a degree in finance, which ironically has increasingly less and less to do with what I actually want to do. If I could do it all over I would have double majored in Digital Technology and Culture (Digital Arts) and Music, but I guess that ship has sailed.

At present I'm studying Zen, through Alan W. Watts' book The Way of Zen. This book will expand your mind. I comprehended my first bit of unconventional knowledge in the second chapter! :)

I'm working towards a BS in Biology with a Pre-Vet/Veterinarian emphasis. So I have both Chem II and Bio II with lab this semester. Then I have two easier classes, Intro to Philosophy and Intro to Theatre. I'm really looking forward to my Biology class this semester since we are on the animal side. After this I'm really ready to get into Animal nutrition and more classes focused on animals. No more plant or human stuff for me please!

I can say I'm happy with my major (minus the crusty Chem classes I have to take). I wanted to do computer science, and I still do like it, but I came to realize I'd rather work with animals than computers when I started volunteering at the animal shelter. It's something about wanting to take care of wiggly puppies and fix horses when they hurt themselves. If I could have it my way though, I would have picked up on equine science as a minor or something but none of the schools in my area offer it and I'm not paying out of state tuition. I don't know quite yet what kind of animals I want to work on but horses are high on the list but I need more experience with them. Regular dogs/cats are on the list as well but so is wildlife (a zoo vet).

I'm currently studying Studio Art and am in my fourth year. However, things happened so sadly this won't be my final year. Do I enjoy art? Always! Do I like uni? Sure it's nice but I'm tired of school, lol. As for careers, I'm hoping to have something art related (i.e. work at a museum and even sell my art at Expos and/or sites like Etsy) and learning about different art movements, how to curate and just being a better artist.

College, working my way towards a computer science degree. I enjoy coding despite the fact that I'm a legit newcomer to the field. The concept of coding is fun, and I'm also pretty good at it (high school Comp Sci was a breeze for me, and I regret not taking Java). I'm looking forward to teaching myself different languages, I'm thinking either Java or Python, right after I become extremely comfortable with C++. Aced the class too, and I'm taking more courses next semester. I'm happy with this :)

Edit: Oh, HTML as well, but mainly to make the forum splash look nicer. I'd appreciate it if anyone wants to help out with that! :D
