4th Gen What Did You Name You, Your Rival, and Your Pokemon?

I recently nicknamed my Cyndaquil, Marshmalow! Although I haven't thought up of any other clever nicknames for the rest of my Pokemon.
 
I named myself Hiram, my rival Silver (NOSTALGIA 8D), and my active team:

-Konogakru, Typhlosion
-Lambdaria, Ampharos
-Valentine, Togekiss
-Rukaria, Espeon
-Izokio, Heracross
-Sireena, Lapras
 
In HG...
My Name: Gold (well, duh.)
Rival: Silver (DUH.)
Starter: Firebutt (XD)
SS
My Name: Silver (O.O)
Rival: Gold (LOL)
Starter: Leaf-face
And my Silver:
My Name: Pie
Rival Name: Don't remember ever naming him.
Starter: Hydromouth (I think.)

I named my trainer Ashley, my rival is Silver in SoulSilver, but I named my rival Kamon in HeartGold. I named my female Tododile/Croconaw/Feraligatr "Aqua," but then I got bored of the nickname so I gave her her original name back. In HeartGold, I had a Chikorita named Tyler, but I traded him to Platinum and did a new game to use a Cyndaquil.

When i said ash i meant ash ketchum :\ not the name ashley, not the name ash ,the fictional character.
 
I was under the impression that our names and our rival's names could be seven letter maximum, and the Pokemon ten. If I'm correct, I'll probably go along these lines when I get the game:

My name: Ivy, Charley, Blaze or Deity
My rival's name: Something stupid, like Doofus. :p

Typhlosion - Tybalt
Vaporeon - DeSoto
Ampharos - Leon
Dodrio - Piper
Drowzee - Dozer
Dratini - Arytholis

Hoenn
*NOTE: I'm not certain you can go through Hoenn in these games, but that's what I've heard.

Swampert - Lily
Swellow - Zazi or Ace, depending on whether I get a Swablu in another region.
Mightyena - Prunker
Gardevoir - ReDella
Hariyama - If it's male, then Radcliffe, after my obese rat. If it's female, then Blobalina. :p
Aggron - Statigo

Johto:

Venusaur - Del or Frieda, depending on the gender
Pidgeot - Sterling
Swablu - Zazi, although I may not get one.

Ampharos: Cecil
Growlithe: Nobel
Sandslash: Meerkat
Togetic: Lars

Rival: Swarley (+3 cookies if you get the reference)

Generally I don't name my pokemon, but I caught a Tentacool to be my HM slave and named him its evolutions German name; Tentoxa.
 
In my HG I named myself my real name, Deja but only because my boyfriend told me to =3= I was gonna go with Kyra, like I usually do. I named my rival Matt, after a guy I hate at school =3= and my pokemon that's I've gone through the storyline are as follows:
Chiki: Meganium
Snips: Scyther
Anpun: Tentacruel
Kyra: Red Gyarados (Originally where I got my nickname Kyra, after naming my Red Gyarados from Crystal and liking the name so much I adopted it meself<3)
Pheenie<3: Ho-Oh
Rocky: Onix. The one you get for trading Bellsprout

rival: silver, although i think its weird cause im playing soul silver
i never nickname pokemon, i think the names are clever enough
 
I named myself Gold, my rival as Silver but didn't nickname my Cynadaquil after the one in the manga because I was too lazy. Instead I went and used Gold's team from the Manga. :3
 
Me: Erik. My name, duh!

Rival: Terance. Stupid 7 characters!

I named him that because since he's Giovanni's son, I thought his name should be related to the earth in some way.

Pokemon: Sorry Charlie, not this time. I like that their name changes when they evolve.
 
Me: Brian, because it's my name.
Rival: William, because it's my brothers name.
Pokémon: I never nickname my Pokémon.

My Name: Shepard (Based off the character from Mass Effect)
Rival's name: Ero (Don't know why specifically that, just sounded good to me)
