4th Gen What do you not want to see in HG/SS?

I don't want to see only Magikarp in Dragon's Den. I want to see a real Dragon's challenge. If I go inside Dragon's Den, I want Dragonite to chase me. My mission would be me having to get the Dragon fang before Dragonite catches me. I want a real challenge in there that's worthy of the final badge. Magikarp is not a challenge. Put some more Dratinis and Dragonairs in there or at least Gyarados. Maybe have Bagons and Gibles available in there after I obtain the national dex. It is the Dragon's den after all. After I beat the Elite Four, I'd like to see Clair training in there once in a while. Same with Morty in Burned Tower. I know it seems like I'm asking for way too much from a remake, but Johto is my favorite region, and I just want it to live up to its full potential.

Well, some of this stuff might add in more nonsense dialog I'll have to mash A through, like Misty's boyfriend's name. It should be optional to check using a Fame Checker, rather than being forced to read Misty say: "OH (insert name here) PLEASE LICK ME HARDER OH OH OH OH OH OH"

Good ideas, but some of those extra details should only be read by those who really want to know, it should be optional.

it was fun messing with all that in the original gold and silver
i'd love to see it all again, it'd bring back memories and make new ones as well

Getting to the seventh Gym Leader and realise the trainers and wild pokémon are ten levels lower than mine onward.

Seriously, they have to make some adjustments and keep the levels rising at a steady pace.

I don't want there to be any Hoenn or Sinnoh Pokemon in the grass of Kanto and Johto. The Hoenn and Sinnoh Pokemon can be in the Safari Zone, or in a new place. I don't even want there to be Kanto Pokemon in Johto Grass or Johto Pokemon in Kanto Grass.

I agree with both of these statements immensely! Especially the part that I bolded. I really don't want to see 3rd and 4th gen Pokemon in Johto or Kanto -- I want it to remain as close to the original as possible. Perhaps I'm just too nostalgic, and miss playing Gold and Silver too much, but I don't want the "newer" Pokemon while playing (at least before I beat the game/complete the dex).

When I play most pokemon games, I tend to train my pokemon and have them all at least the same level as the Gym Leaders or 1 level higher...lol I started playing Gold the other day on a Rom and my pokemon were in Lv. 20 and the starter in 22....Still, Milltank's Rollout Knocked out my Noctowl AND my Ghastly (Curse ftw)....x_X

The Misty's boyfriend's name idea was just for laughs. XD You don't have to talk to trainers if you don't want to. Besides, a lot of Platinum trainers said a bunch of useless nonsense. Talking about a gym leader or an event happening is much more interesting than hearing "yep, a kid like you should be running outside rain or shine. hyuck." (I wonder if Team Rocket will say that again. "Hyuck, hyuck, hyuck!" or "Fufufu!" That was funny!)

I don't want trainers that say stupid nonsense like in Platinum. So many had nothing good to say. As for the original phone calls in GSC, I don't care if Pidgey defeated your Rattata. Elaborate on it. Say what move defeated it. What moves were super-effective. Say "(Insert Name here), did you know that Flying moves are super-effective against Fighting types? I didn't know that! Oh, well, talk to ya later!" *Hangs up* That would be a better conversation. Am I right?

Yeah those 4th gen and 3rd gen Pokemon can all just... go row a boat, and fall down a waterfall... and die.

I think I love you. That one rocket member from the basement has to be my most fondest memory of those games. He was hilariously stupid! Oh and I agree on the phone thing. I'd be halfway to Route whatever with my mind set on something, get a stupid call, and be infuriated at them for making me stop and listen.

Actually I'm looking forward to miltank and her Rollout killing spree. It took me forever when I was little, but I wanna see if I can actually survive this time. Or get rocked again lol.
 
i want it to be the same as it was in the old ones

same storyline same pokedex same characters

im so mad they changed the female character
 
I would like to have gen 4 and 3 pokemon in the game, but i wouldn't want them to overpower the game. (I'd like mostly gen 1 and 2 pokemon.) And hopefully there's a Hoenn region along with Kanto!
 
May from the Hoenn region. That girl is the epitome of evil. :may: = :17: (JK) It's just I prefer Johto to be the main focus and Kanto is the side quest. :( But I guess putting in Hoenn is making it seem like Johto wasn't forgotten or something.
 
No hoenn. It would get in the way of other additions, taking up too much space. That would not work out. And just because Groudon, Kyogre, Jirachi and Rayquaza are in it does not mean their region has to be. If that were the case, FR and LG would have Kanto, Johto and Hoenn.
 
No honey trees, plzkthnks. Those things were a PAIN. If the time to actually get the Pokemon to that tree was reduced, maybe... But I don't like having to wait hours when I can just go on GTS or whatsitcalled just to get it.
... And sometimes I forgot which tree I slapped the honey on, okay? ;^;

Also, I spent too many days of my childhood trying to figure out how to get into the Lavender Town Radeo Tower. I don't want to see it not available again. Same goes for the Safari Zone. I do believe that the only substitute for the Safari Zone in Johto was the Bug Catching contest, if memory serves correct. So seeing the Safari Zone would be nice.
 
I'd rather have catch'em all, too. Because I go throughout the game just seeing the pokemon with no desire to catch them. Then, once I have national dex, I have to go back and capture them all if I want to complete it. WTH!!! Just make it catch'em all again. It's much easier to keep track of what you have and don't have. Much easier.

I agree with everyone who has said "No honey trees." I hated those things. I'm glad they weren't in the original GSC. That would have ruined the game and turned it into garbage. They better not give us that in this game. Give us back our headbutt trees. I loved those things. I got an Aipom off one once.

lol The only good thing about the Bug Catching contests was that you could catch a Scyther or a Pinsir really early in game...If they do the same for Heart Gold and Soul Silver and include other bugs like Pineco and Heracross, that would be pretty cool. :3
 
Bug catching contests were fun! But I wud get so mad when I thot I'd win because I caught a rare Scyther, only to be beaten by a guy with a Butterfree T_T

I liked the Bug Catching contests as well! I would be upset if they replaced it with something else, to be honest.

The guys with the Butterfrees also always beat me XD
