What do you think of Pikachu?

    What is your impression on Pikachu and its evolution and pre-evolution?

    Personally, I dislike Pikachu and Pichu, but like Raichu, as he's a decent Pokemon.
     
    Raichu is best competitively(duh) and Pikachu is overrated bigtime. Pichu doesn't make sense to me...to be honest I never really liked any baby pokemon.
     
    Well I do like baby Pokemon and other cute ones, but I thing especially Pikachu is overrated (I still like it but not that much).
    I always liked Raichu, from the beginning and it's a useful one.
     
    I actually like Pikachu, whether it's overrated or not. It's not my favorite, but it comes close. I actually don't care much for Raichu, though. I never really had much of an opinion about Pichu.
     
    I like Pikachu, i don't really get why people say he is overrated, anyone who actually knows anything about Pokémon know that he is a decent/useful Pokémon but there are many better ones out there, he is only overrated by people who have only seen the anime and don't realize that he is a "special" Pikachu.
     
    I never liked Pikachu, Pichu or Raichu.

    In game or anywhere else, the only thing he was handy for was being my main electric type until Celadon where I'd evolve Evee into Jolteon anyway, so yeah no.

    Atleast in the Manga he isn't the "Pokemon Poster Child" so much.
    Which is why Red > Ash.
     
    Pikachu because it's the cutest over them all.
     
    Battle terms Raichu and if i was going to use any of them in fights it would be raichu.
    but i prefer pikachu over raichu, looks much better.

    Finally, i think pikachu is over used (not in fights as such). There is no pokemon game which he hasn't been in. Now i'm sure if pikachu wasn't in 5th gen until national dex there would be an uproar, but come 6th gen and he's catchable again i bet he'd be much more appreciated. I was so disappointed when i found out pikachu was catchable in 4th gen pre-national dex. Other pokemon been in each gen include, zubat, geodude, machop and psyduck, probably more but i can't think off the top of my head.
     
    I don't quite get why people say Pikachu is overrated. I mean, some Pokemon had to be the icon of the series, right? It was chosen, now all of a sudden its overrated because its the icon of Pokemon.

    Pikachu is nice and decent, but there are quite a few that surpass it as my favorites. Pichu is adorable though, one of my top favorites. XD

    Never really liked any of em <.< if I ever use an electric pokemon I prefer to find something else, or ust put the moves on some other type that can learn the attacks.
    There was a point I thought it was cute, but that kinda went away after Johto.
     
    I liked then as pokemon in general, but they basically suck for competative battling.
     
    How about an option for "None"? I have thought Pikachu is overrated sijce the start- it's cute in the animé and all, but I don't even have one on Pearl, despite having a Pichu and Raichu... no idea why. It's just one pokémon, why should it be better than any others?
     
    Raichu must be the only Pokemon where evolving is a bad thing it seems. It never gets any love. Heck, even Pichu got into SSB. It wasn't playable in the original Stadium and you rarely see it at all. Why the hate for it?
     
    Pikachu is the mascot of Pokémon, when most people think Pokémon they think Pikachu, I know people who call Pokémon Pikachu and Pikachu Pokémon.
     
    Pichu for its cuteness. I also like befriending pokemon, and pichu evolves when he likes you.
     
    I dislike all 3 to tell you the truth they are not that useful as thunder pokemon through out the game id rather go with an electabuzz or its pre or evolution but if i did have to pick i would pick raichu cause i ve seen it in anime and it can look a hell of a lot more evil like Lt surges his is awsome
     
    Meh, never really cared about them... =\
    I mean, even though I'm baby obsessed (Azuril FTW! XD), Pichu just...doesn't stand out =\
    (Though I will agree he/she is better than Smoochum! And Wynaut! =()
    But yeah, I voted Pichu, just because Pikachu is WAY overated and Raichu is just meh =\
