I think they should try to make pokemon X&Y lean more towards a game for teenagers, I hear alot of teenagers think pokemon is childish so they don't play (Tho Some teens like me do) I don't know, I just think if they did this they could use some more ideas for diffrent pokemon. This would allow things like a legendary of death, life.etc this is just my opion but can I would like to hear some of your guy's opion

Never mind I see that the one is the life pokemon

I'd really love a darker Pokemon game for the people that grew up with the series, but I strongly doubt it'll happen. X/Y will most likely be just as child-ready as the rest.

The series' primary audience are kids, so this is pretty unlikely. Besides, they add in a lot of more 'mature' themes here and there (various dex entries aren't exactly pleasant such as for the various ghost types, for example). A lack of ideas isn't something I feel is a problem either - we have 650+ Pokemon now (at least 700+ is likely), while we have more 'teenage' designs here and there (nothing safe or uncool about an Absol or Tyranitar or Hydregion, is there?)

What some teenagers may think doesn't reflect what others do too, and I doubt it's a problem for the series given the sales they've consistently had. Pokemon isn't one of the best selling franchises for nothing, after all.

Pokémon has always been a child's game with deeper maturity beneath the surface.

    1. Consider Mewtwo in generation 1. No, not just the obvious ethical question that Mewtwo brought up. But some of the deeper things, like Mr. Fuji's backstory, who helped create him.

    2. Giratina, the Renegade pokemon. It was banished by Arceus to a different world as a punishment for the havoc it brought. It's alternate forme is a serpent. Am I the only one who sees this as an allusion to... eh, nevermind.

    3. Black and White made us consider an issue which fans, bashers, and PETA have been contemplating for years. It wasn't the deepest plot out there, but I feel as though many younger audience wouldn't have paid as much attention as older audiences like ourselves would.

But really, I feel as though the people who complain that it's too kiddy won't be happy until Pokemon is COD. Gamefreak should stick with their fanbase.

I think that the game will always be geared towards kids. I think that still mainly children play the Pokemon games, and the hardcore fans follow because of nostalgia and competitive play.

    That is undoubtedly true.

Now, a Pokemon game oriented toward an older audience would be interesting and I would certainly like it; but honestly, in an age of media trying to be darker and edgier with every sequel, I think it's nice that Pokemon remains light-hearted (and has actually become more so since the original games).

you actually mark a point i am 18 yet guys think m yet like a kid who plays pokemon this is so not what they think ,its all about strategy gaming.
