I'm just a little curious as to what most players have been using for there "catch" Pokemon in Moon/Sun without the use of Poke Bank.

    Mine is currently:
    Smeargle
    Adamant Nature
    Technician Ability
    Moves-
    False Swipe
    Spore
    Stun Stune
    Odor Sleuth

Most are pretty common use skills for Poke catching on a single Pokemon. I use Odor Sleuth for the ability to have False Swipe land on ghost type.
    For Super Training, I went 252 Atk / 252 speed / 4 hp.
IVs of the Pokemon I am unaware of since I caught it in the wild during my play through.

I use Kartana. It's high attack stat and steel typing really work well for it. Plus, it has stab leaf blade, Detect, Air Slash, and False Swipe for good measure.

Magearna learning both Thunder Wave and False Swipe made it very valuable to me since it helped me catch Necrozma, the Ultra Beasts and the Tapus.

I just alternate between my main team, probably use Lurantis more than the others, though. None of them have False Swipe but I can usually find a way to get HP down low enough to catch the Pokémon.

    Decidueye and Snorlax.

Decidueye: Naive; 252 HP 252 SPD 4 ATK; Spirit Shackle, Leaf Blade, Foresight, False Swipe
Eventually I want to replace him with a HA Pangoro.

Snorlax: Careful; Story-Mode EVs; Body Slam, Happy Hour, Hold Back, Giga Impact
He's awkward because he's got a vs Trainer Moves and a Capture Move. I still use him because he's bulkier and hits harder than Decidueye.

Sir, like your idea with Pangoro...especially if team him with a Butterfree for a Sleep and Stun.

I use my Smeargle, Georgia, to catch Pokemon with as well as to Shiny Hunt with.

    Smeargle (F)
    Own Tempo
Attacks: Spore, Odor Sleuth, False Swipe, random damaging Move

Yeah, Pangoro is one of the best in my opinion. With Scrappy and a moveset of False Swipe, Entrainment, Bullet Punch, and Thief, its good for just about everything except throwing down the final status move for a catch.

Its stats make it decently bulky for surviving long chains (something Smeargle can have trouble with), and it hits hard to make sure you don't use two turns on anything except a Pokemon with Sturdy. Entrainment is for checking for HAs, and Thief is a good STAB clear that's also good for Heart Scale/Razor Claw/Metal Coat farming. Bullet Punch is good for softening the drawback of its poor speed.

Smeargles with Spore/False Swipe/Soak/Recover generally work well

When Bank opens it will be Breloom. For now though it is Haxorus with False Swipe. I've got a Lilligant with Sleep Powder to hit status on whatever I want to catch.

There are a disappointing number of Pokemon that can learn False Swipe and I don't plan to ever use Smeargle due to not being a fan of its design.

I dont really have a catch pokemon. 0.0

I think i have a hypno with an item swap move for catching high iv dittos, then i taught false swipe to a few random pokemon like my weevile that i will never use. Also, i have an ability swap move on my tapu lele.

    Decidueye and Snorlax.

    snorlax is good for everything.
