[ASM & Hex] What hex converter does FBI use in his tutorials !!!!

Firstly check this[url]Convert the static name you want from ascii to hex. For OP, he wanted Jesse and James which convert into:
C4 D9 E7 E7 D9 FF FF FF - Jesse
C4 D5 E1 D9 E7 FF FF FF -James

If I convert Jesse to hex I get 4a 65 73 73 65, how did FBI get those values.
He repeats the same "hex conversion" in an [URL=https://www.pokecommunity.com/posts/8903237/]other tutorial.

Can someone explain which conversion does he use. Btw I use ASCII to hex conversion...

All characters and symbol have a certain hex value assigned to them in Pokemon games. I can't remember a post that has this translation from hex to character/symbol from the top of my head. You could use this tool though.

That tool bites a bit. Better to just use HMA.

I am not using the tool (I ain't that dumb) I jus wanted to know which translation he used.
