6th Gen What hopes do you have for the story?

    I have no idea what the story could include, but with such a large array of characters that seem to have been introduced just judging by the first trailer I'm really hoping that it starts to move in more than one dimension. Black and White seemed to pick up the approach to the games stories and that excited me a lot. I really don't want to be disappointed.

    What are you hoping that is involved within the stories of X and Y?
     
    I liked the context of B/W(2)' story but thought it was carried out poorly. The dialogues were awkward and didn't flow well. Same as characters suddenly popped up and talked to you as though they had been with you all along.

    I would like it if X and Y would have a nice story again but with better dialogues and story flow than B/W!

    I also hope that the characters will be interesting such as N and others we've seen in the previous gen!

    But I agree, I think it's likely that there could be more to the story this time as it's a large region and we do have a large cast of characters!
     
    I'm hoping for a fairly simplistic story actually. I didn't care much for the Black and White story and found it hard to make myself care for the plot and the characters. Regardless, I'll be playing it and following it carefully.
     
    My favorite story in the pokemon handheld games is probably BW and BW2. I am hoping it is similar, but I am not going to get my hopes up on that.

    The reviews I've read for the games say that the story is pretty simple like the past games and not as deep as BW's story was (my personal favorite story). They say it's mostly about finding the mystery behind Mega Evolutions.

    Either way, I hope that the story is longer due to the larger region and less emphasis on badges, and be full of interesting characters that I just can't hate.
     
    I'm concerned about the story very much.

    I doubt it'll match up to B/W's beautiful story.
     
    I expect to see some kind of a shock twist in the tale, like for example one of your rivals eventually becoming a member of Team Flare, but otherwise like to see just a well-written dialog.
     
    I'm hoping for them leave us with some sort of a cliffhanger at the end, so that it'll be easier for them to develop the sequels for these games (if they're planning to, that is). If they have no sequels in-line for us, then they'd probably have us close down the show with a feel-good moment, like with almost very other Pokémon games. It'd be quite awesome if they had given us some kind of an unexpected twist throughout the game, just like the way that Boilurn mentioned. d: It would suck us into the game in an instant, that's for sure!
     
    dont really expect much out of the story to tell truth lol. but oh well. I dont mind. heck I liked the story of the firered/leaf green just because of the villian team lol
    (but just imagine the day we get a story like in xd gale of darkness)
     
    Well from the spoilers this seems to be one of the darkest stories pokemon has ever had.
    Apparently a long time ago a trainer lost his pokemon in a war so he created a machine that took the lives of other pokemon to resurrect his friend.
    That's pretty much what team flare does. They take the lives of pokemon to try to bring back the legendary pokemon
     
    Pokemon BW take such an interesting subject to base the stroyline on-does catching pokemon is okay? From the reviews I heard that this time we exploring the mega evos, which is also interesting thing. I hope the reviews wrong and we will have interesting story.
     
    I've no idea how the storyline is played out and I plan to keep it that way until the release! I am intrigued to see how Team Flare manifest their plot, and what effect it has on the storyline.
