This is a very big topic, so big that I made this to avoid so many other topics going off-topic.

The feared thing is that they might be thinking about replacing Ash with May and Max and removing him from the show to redo the Kanto League. I don't like this, but I've unfortunately seen this on many Animes and that is quite possibly the direction they are going in with this; Max gets his Trainers License after Hoenn.

Keep in mind that if this happens, Ash will undoubtedly take all of his Pokemon (including Pikachu) with him.

What are your thoughts on this?

    You decide.

they will not kill off ash,he is the big money maker!if they do redo kanto,he will help the newbie, and travel with them.He would want redo the kanto league,so he could win

I highly, highly doubt that they'd ever have the thought of replacing Ash or have him leave the show--not even for a season like they did with Brock (and now Misty). Ash is the leading main character of show; and, the Pokemon anime is based around his training and his training alone...no matter how many friends/trainers he has with him. I don't think it'd ever cross the writers' minds to take him away. That's probably why they gave us the specials--they just show us some episodes without Ash to focus in on our other favorite leading characters just for a little extra entertainment. See, they're already way ahead of us in our ideas! ^_^ So, that's why I'm almost 100% sure he'd never leave the actual show.

i am very sure ash isn't going no where, it will be one of the biggest mistakes in pokemon!

If ash is going anywhere its a new area of the pokemon world, different from Hoenn, Kanto and Johto.

The reason I brought this up is because the name of the Hoenn Saga in Japan is Pokemon Advanced Generation. It could symbolize Ash as a veteran leaving and the new generation (Max and May) picking up from where he left off. After all, Max is getting his Trainer's license after the Hoenn League.

If Ash leaves, that means no more Team Rocket. I won't stand for it! Without a weekly dose of Wobbuffet, there's nothing to look foward to.

Team Rocket rarely tries to capture Pikachu anymore. They seem to actually be more interested in the NPC Pokemon in each episode now, so I think they'd be able to keep them even if Ash leaves...

Althoguh I myself have an attachment to Ash ( I'm currently having a Hoenn league Ash outfit made) I think that if Ash were to be replaced wtih Max and May, as long as it's a smooth transition and Ash made Cameo appearances from time to time, I'd be alright with it. it woudl be a lot like when Misty left. No one liked it at first, but it grew on them.

It is plausible that Ash may leave after Hoenn, since max and May ahven't been through Kanto, Max gets his trainer's license, and Ash going through teh Kanto League a second time seems redundant. However, I distinctly recall Ash promisign himself that he woudl return to the Kanto LEague one day and try again. So right now, it seems to be up in the air as to what will actually happen.

I doubt they would ever replace Satoshi I mean the show is about his journey after all. If they did I would boycott the show.

If Ash leaves or dies I'd cry for weeks on end, THEN boycott the show.

    That will never happen.

it will never be so that they will replace Ash. Even if they need to revive kanto league they will still keep him as hero.

THey would try for innovation. To have Ash repeat teh Kanto league would be redundant and I frankly would find it ever so boring. I imagine the people at WB realize this as well, and may indeed change the star. Think about it: Hoenn league started with a monologue from May. Why would they do that if Ash was still the only main character? :\

4Kids and KidsWB have nothing to do with the show. They just translate and air it, respectively.

And....the whole basis on the show is about Satoshi....if they pulled him out,it would serve no purpose of keeping the show. It just wouldn't be the same without him.

Rest assured, Ash/Satoshi is probably going to be the only true permanant party member, since the show is about his adventures...

Maybe, maybe not. I like Ash as much as the rest of you, but I'm thinkign realistically here. The Show Digimon Changes their characters every season. And some shows, such as yugioh, reach a breaking point then change their characters drastically. And shows like DBZ gradually change their characters over time.

What those three shows have in common is that the characters change, and what used to be the main character may not be the main character anymore. Why should pokemon be so different that it will always be about Ash?:\

I don't think they would take Ash/Satoshi out...
But, if they DID, I would be heartbroken and I would cry till no end. :'( Cause, Ash is my FAVORITE charictor. I'd probaly would stop liking da show if they toke him out, too.
    I really love Ash...Really.

There is no way that they would take Ash off the show. If they did, then Pokemon would be over, since that's mainly what the shows plot is...Have Ash become the Pokemon Master (and occasionally show the other charecters. :P) They have made many other changes to the show, by mostly changing regions, adding/releasing members from their party, getting/releasing other Pokemon they've had, and even occasionally changing how they do things in the show, to give a little more creativity. But for all of Pokemon's sake, Ash will never go.

And (if for some odd reason) if Ash were to go, they would probably have to do some things like the Specials are, where Ash isn't in them (mainly like the Raikou Special, and the New Trainer one). Having a new person would mean they would have to make a new plot, since keeping the same one that Ash had would be dull, and wouldn't show much for the show.

But anyway, they will keep Ash....Since they can't get rid of him. :P

It is ironic that everyone hates the idea of Ash leaving the show, because many people, including people on this website hate him.

I predict that they will remove Ash for the Kanto Redux (if there is one) and then put him back in afterwards. If they remove Ash, it will only be temporary, like the other characters, so I wouldn't worry too much...
