HEy just wondering what is your favorite mini-game(small games within the game) of the d/p games? mine is digging for treasure what is yours?

Capture the flag is a riot!

What could be more fun than setting traps for your mates, then stealing their flag while their pinned down.

I wouldn't consider battles as a mini-game.. It is the game. Unless you meant the battle tower, then yeah. o.0

I like digging for treasure. It's pretty easy and I get goodies too. The Safari would be fun but I don't play it; I'm terrified of seeing a shiny there. The Battle Tower is cheap too, har har. /charge beem h4x and sheer cold destroyed my team

i guess battling counts as a mini-game cause the game is the whole thing notice how you have battles? and they are a fun part of the game so i jsut guess they qualify as a mini-game for they are within the game but are not the entire game itself

Battles aren't mini-games. They're tied into the main storyline. In other words, it's the main game of the whole DPP game, in which it won't be a mini-game. However, if you would still consider it a mini-game, I would select battling as my favorite. The nature of battling is very complex, and it takes wits to build that perfect team, outsmart your opponent, and win the game. There are a big variety of Pokemon and strategies to use, such as using the unexpected. It gets you hooked into a battle once you start, and you never want to stop until you prove yourself as the superior one.

Treasure digging would come in second. It's not as complicated as competitive battling is, but it is quite intriguing to interact with your friends in a new cave-like world. Also, the fact that the underground would give you free items if you find them is a definite plus, too. It also gets you hooked on because I sometimes can't find myself stopping the game for a minute until I find the item that I'm looking for.

The Safari Zone games and Pokemon Contests come in third. They're not quite as addicting as the other mini-games, but they can be pretty fun once you get the hang of it. I'm always trying to find some rare Pokemon like Skorupi in the Safari Zone, and I'm definitely working on the Dress-up part of the Pokemon Contests, since I've never been good at that division.

Capture the flag, my sister said. And I couldn't agree more. Settings sneaky traps and running in to take it. Hahaha, so much fun.

I agree with most people...battles are just mainly the whole game itself...but anyways, I would have to say Poffin Making, Contests, and Capture the flag!!

The treasure digging is awesome, but not really so addictive. I'd say that Poffin making is also a bit of a drag, but the contests are cool.

    my favorite is treasure digging
    I'm with you

Like the others, I don't consider battling a mini-game, but I do enjoy them the most out of what was listed, although I've never played Capture the Flag, so I don't really know how much fun it it.

I don't consider battling a mini-game either XD (as if you haven't heard it enough) but that's my favorite part of Pokemon.

Otherwise, digging for treasure is MEGA fun. I wish you could find more fossils...Gamefreak, you better be designing more ancient Pokes >:O

I also wanted to mention that I love treasure hunting. Obviously not enough, but it is one of my favorite pass-times. I usually find myself looking for Heart Scales more than anything.

Battling is what I enjoy the most, but it is always fun to set traps for your friends in the underground. If you set the traps right, you can make your friends zoom around the underground for a very long time.

Yeah, I too love digging. Well, not that much, but apart from the other choices it's probably the one that I always do (I've never entered contests and just baked a Poffin once). I used to hate digging once upon a time ago but when I realized that I could pinpoint where the treasures and traps are hidden by using the stylus I've grown to like it more and more.

About battling; even if you consider it as a mini game... I don't like it that much. I really prefer the LMBS (Linear Motion Battle System) that the Tales of [Series] offer more than turn-based battles (like Pokemon, FF etc), so... yeah.

I'd say just digging is pretty cool sometimes, but capture the flag seems so much better than just plain digging, and is more competitive, so I think I'll go with that 8D
