What kinds of things would you like to see in ORAS?

    (The section, not the games)

So, the activity in the ORAS section has picked up quite a bit, which is good! I think that with it being one of the current generation sections, it being an enjoyable place is really important for the well-being of the Pokemon gaming sections as a whole. And while I do have a few ideas for things that I'd like to do with the section, I'd like to get some feedback here on things that you'd want to see in ORAS. What are some examples of things that would grab your interest and make you want to keep on coming back to the forum regularly? Obviously the objective isn't to have it overflowing with new topics and posts every three seconds (that'd be a nightmare to moderate anyways), but some way to make the section fun and engaging for everyone. Making it a place that people want to frequently visit, especially if they're currently playing the games.

Heck, even if you have some thoughts on how the section could be moderated differently, don't be shy about sharing them. Doesn't even have to be anything specific, just thoughts on the overall direction you'd like to see the section go in would be helpful, too. As a moderator, I can of course facilitate things and make sure the rules are followed and etc, but when it comes to coming up with ideas, I think that's something the whole community should be involved in, since I'm only one of many people on this forum who loves these games!

Perhaps Contest events? I'm not 100% sure but I think the contests may be doable via NN over the internet. (If not that's a severe short-sight Nintendo!)

    Yes.

I've actually wanted to have a contest event, but Nintendo did make a pretty big short-sight there--there's no Wi-Fi contests :( Contest tournaments (similar to how we have battling tournaments on the server) would have been perfect.

    Shame Gamefreak, shame.

In the absence of direct Wi-fi contests; what if we ran an event where one is to attain all their ribbons with a set team of Pokemon (One for each quality) all the way to the Master Rank?

Perhaps even see who can do it in the best way? (Fewest losses, ect)

I don't have any ideas for now, but I can share you some stuff:

    - Try not to create events that require a lot of time, for example an event that involves a playthrough. If you are really going with long events, make sure there will be prizes (so that'll keep the kids).

    - Be innovative and original, engaging too. Simplicity isn't a must, but it's appreciated.

    - Rules should be simple yet clear; nothing too restricting yet nothing too laid back.

Not tryna make myself look like the smart guy, on the contrary I'm speaking from my own failure, haha!

    Spoiler:

Humans, as we are, like to be rewarded for the things they do and as such, a reward system could help boost activity!
