What made you like your favorite pokemon?

I ended up having Ninetales as my first favorite Pokemon because, of how vengeful this Pokemon is. And the fact that it is a beautiful Pokemon too. With it's nine long tails.
 
I don't have a definite favorite pokemon since it changes from time to time. I will say though that I have a few pokemon that I've always liked and since Bellsprout has been the one pokemon that I've always liked and especially more now than ever I'll base my reasons off of it.

Well the first time I saw a Bellsprout was in some pokemon episode that had Ash's Muk face a girl's Bellsprout. Ever since then I loved it. Its so simpe and yet so odd that I love it. I mean its just a flower with eyes, but for some reason I can't get enough of it.
 
i first started liking charizard ever scince i saw mewtwo the first movie, seeing how awesome he did agaisnt his super clone was great, and he's got alot of will power as well. a strong willed pokemon indeed, he has tussled with some strong pokemon and that made me choose him as my main pokemon : ).
 
It all started with SSBB although I dont really want to explain everything because it a very long story, but to make it short, I never really paid much attention to Lucario until I started using him in it and in all of the other pokemon games...
 
I really love Gyarados, and I think the reason why is because it evolves from Magikarp, the most useless Pokemon, ever. I just love how something so weak and little evolves into something so big and strong. :P

For some reason I also love Clefable, but I don't really know why. I use it a lot in the games and currently in FireRed it's my strongest Pokemon. It helped me beat Lance, which I had a super hard time with because I suck. XD
 
Buneary is my favorite.
about fourteen months ago, I made a new Facebook account specifically for pokemon use. There had been one person before me to do so, and he had given himself a pokemon name Sal a Mence. I was considering a few options, including Jerry Chi, Luke Cario, and Peter Chu, but I finally decided upon Ben Eary. After a while, it grew on me. It's so cute, and it just eventually became my favorite.
 
Hmmmm. I think Gengar is my favorite. No deep ulterior meanings to my choice; I just like the ghost concept, and think it has a wicked cool design:D It's eyes are just so evil! I'll say it's eyes!
 
Favorite pokemon has to be charizard. Always has been since my first time playing Pokemon Red.
 
Scizor has been my favorite since i first saw it when G/S came out

What made me like Diglett is because he pops out of nowhere and he is fast.
 
I am going to sound rather self-centered here, but there is just something about Flygon that reminds me ofme, and I love being me. :D

I have ALWAYS loved Slowpoke, well, for unknown reasons. It's just so floppy and cute! Well, when I was introduced to Slowking when I was small after the 2nd Pokemon movie came out, I instantly fell in love. Automatic favorite.

Slowking just seems to be all-around calm and takes it in stride, and rather paitent, if you ask me. If you set it up right, Slowking can have a nice little Move Pool. I don't find them too overrated or OU either, and I have a tendency to not use OU Pokemon so much.

Also, I happen to love the design of Slowking. I am sure I will always have a passionate love for any Slowpoke or Slowking, and also Slowbro. <3 My favorite Pokemon evolution line.

So right after Diamond and Pearl came out, my friend and I who were just coming out of a huge Kingdom Hearts phase, were coming up with Pokemon teams for different KH characters. Of course we got to Marluxia and were looking at grass Pokemon when my friend links me to the Pokedex page of Cherrim which was just... perfect, since it had Marluxia's cherry blossom trademark thing down. I didn't expect to like it much since I absolutely cannot stand most grass types but then since I found a cute one, I went ahead and bought a plushie of it. Once I started actively collecting its merchandise, there was no going back. u_u;; I got more and more attached to it until finally I realized it was my favourite Pokemon, surpassing my previous favourite of like 10 years (Pichu). It's honestly SUCH a lame story and I'm a little embarrassed saying it because everyone always expects such an epic, interesting story considering how much I like Cherrim but... no. I only originally gave it a second glance because of a completely unrelated fandom. XD;

This is also partly why I like Probopass but that story makes even less sense.
 
Charizard has always been my most favorite. He was my very first Pokemon I've ever used and fully leveled and I loved him on the shows, especially the first movie.

He's so raw and I loved his cocky attitude in the shows/movies but even when him and Ash bonded, I loved him even more. In the first movie though he was defintely the coolest and gave the best fight!
 
at first my favorite pokemon was chickorita (i overused it in my gold version when i was little) but then when I saw falkner and his pidgeotto I was all like coooool. And then I saw its evolved forme and I was blown away (age 8) xDDD
 
Ninetales wasn't my favorite from the beginning; I flitted between a few that I really liked and couldn't make up my mind for a while. Then, one day, I decided to sit down with the full Pokedex and flip through until I found one that really caught my eye and made me say, "There, that's my favorite." And that was Ninetales for me. For one, I've always loved foxes, and a lot of the dog- or fox-like Pokemon have generally caught my eye. For a while, Eevee evolutions were my favorite, but, I decided that I like Ninetales better than all of them. :)
 
I have so many favourites that this is hard to answer. :x

But to pick my original favourite, it was the artwork on the trading card that caught my eye. Bulbasaur! I was so enamoured of it that I even started collecting Bulbasaur cards and ended up with 32 of them (: And then for Christmas one year, Mother asked an artistic friend of hers at work to replicate the art in charcoal on A3 to hang above my bed, which was just awesome. I've still got it somewhere. Other than that, he was so cute in the Anime and I still rue that I didn't make him my Starter in Pokémon Blue. (I got a Squirtle because Blastoise was on the box art.)

Other than that, I now love my Regis because King Brandon owns them they're awesome and Turtwig and Chimchar are just too cute. :3
 
Being enough to beat two different games and one of my friends over and over XD
Until I gave him one of my Espeons. But well, it was fun while it lasted.

Psychic pokes are really useful.
