4th Gen What Pokemon Did You Start With?

So did you start with piplup, chimchar or turtwig?

I got all three, but I chose Piplup on my own cartridge, so
it didn't get boosted EXP. I ended up falling in love with
Monferno because it looks adorable.

I Started with Piplup because its very strong and its very good in defence.

I started with Chimchar, mainly because I like monkeys. But it turned out much better than I thought.

yeh on my pearl i started with chimchar. at start it looked nooby then it looked like a pokemon that u start to get attached to in the game

i started out with piplup (like almost everyone else). it was really strong in the beginning but i began to use it less and less.

Well I started with Turtwig & now have a level 100 Torterra ^^

started with piplup but around the time it evolved i grew bored with it and traded for a level 1 UT lapras :)

which i don't regret and my lapras is level 40 now :D

and i like the water types too, that's y i picked piplup

i guess im old fashioned.. i tried gyarados before i settled on lapras

not a fan of the newer pokes i guess

I started with Turtwig. Ever since red and blue, I've always gotten the grass starter on my first time through the game. But the grass starter has also usually been more balanced than Torterra. I like Torterra, don't get me wrong, but the dual type of grass and ground doesn't do it any favors, and it has more of a weakness on the special side, both defensively and offensively. Kinda makes me miss my Bulbasaur...
