    Elite Four

    Lorelei
    Lv52 Dewgong
    Lv51 Cloyster
    Lv52 Slowbro
    Lv54 Jynx
    Lv54 Lapras

    Bruno
    Lv51 Onix
    Lv53 Hitmonchan
    Lv53 Hitmonlee
    Lv54 Onix
    Lv56 Machamp

    Agatha
    Lv54 Gengar
    Lv54 Golbat
    Lv53 Haunter
    Lv56 Arbok
    Lv58 Gengar

    Lance
    Lv56 Gyarados
    Lv54 Dragonair
    Lv54 Dragonair
    Lv58 Aerodactyl
    Lv60 Dragonite

    Rival
    Lv59 Pidgeot
    Lv57 Alakazam
    Lv59 Rhydon
    Lv59 Gyarados / Exeggutor / Arcanine
    Lv61 Arcanine / Gyarados / Exeggutor
    Lv63 Venusaur / Charizard / Blastoise

By the Elite Four, you should have your team settled out. Just be around level 55+, and if lower, be sure to stock up on Hyper Potion, Revive, Full Restore. If you're low on money, buy Lemonade in Celadon's mall or earn money with the Amulet Coin attached (given by an aide on Route 16). Any team can beat in-game pokemon, so just keep raising your team and you'll prevail. Good luck.

I suggest using your starter, Starmie, Aerodactyl, Jolteon, Gengar, Alakazam, Mewtwo, Dragonite, Gyarados, Raichu, Vaporeon, Pidgeot, etc.

good job...i can see you put alot of effort into it. did you get from the book?

There are such things as research and common sense. Information about which Pokémon Gym Leaders have is widely available on the Internet, and type matchups are a cinch if you're a seasones player of the Pokémon games.

All you really need to do is train all your pokemon in a balanced training schedule.
In other words, when one pokemon gains a level, train the next one, and so on until everyone is at the same level. Once that is done, repeat.
In doing this, all your pokemon will be equally powerful, minimising your chances of losing by a huge margin.

As for the Elite four, may I suggest grabbing an Alakazam or Rhyhorn? Alakazam and Rhydon are both formiddable forces for the Elite Four so they will help you a lot. So will:

    • Gyarados
    • Starmie
    • Slowbro
    • Exeggutor
    • Golem
    • Machamp
    • Your starter
    • Nidoking
    • To a lesser extent: Dugtrio.

when i first versed the elite four, i gathered any high level pokemon i could find these are the pokemon i chose
    Charizard lvl67 (i think)
    Articuno lvl50
    Moltres lvl50
    Zapdos lvl50
    and some other two

    For Koga use:
    Venomoth
    Any Poison/Not Grass Pokemon
    Fire Pokemon
    Rock Pokemon

Just be around level 55+, and if lower, be sure to stock up on Hyper Potion, Revive, Full Restore.

    Can't stress that enough.

I went into the elite four when my Pokemon were only level 40 something, and one level 50, IT WAS HORRIBLE...

    Seriously. :)

If your team is not at the right levels, you could train 'em outside the Ember Spa at One Island.
I used this team for the Elite Four:

    Charizard @ Charcoal
    Flamethrower
    Fly
    Earthquake
    Slash

    Snorlax @ Leftovers/Chesto Berry
    Yawn
    Protect
    Body Slam
    Rest

    Articuno @ Amulet Coin
    Ice Beam
    Fly
    Agility
    (can't remember...)

    Moltres
    Flamethrower
    Endure
    Agility
    um... something...

    Zapdos
    Thunderbolt
Agility - Zapdos with Agility is almost impossible to outspeed...
    Drill Peck
    (something...)

    Graveler
    Earthquake
    Defense Curl
    Rollout
    Explosion

If you don't have the birds, catch them or use a Jolteon instead of Zapdos, and whatever you like instead of the other two...

If you can catch articuno then you can murder lance and giovanni and bruno(lapras might be a better choice due to the water typing and availibilty)
    Jolteon/Zapdos can take care lorlei
If you had a kadabra from before you can use that to get agatha
Against the champion just use something that can hit hard
Also i dont remember if you can but stock up X items and hyper potions

You don't need Legendaries to defeat the "elite" four. Just exploit the common weakness each member (why any of these idiots are "elite" is beyond me) has and cruise to victory. You also don't need to level up your Pokemon too high either. Lv45-50 is just fine.
