The realm of competitive gaming is a deep and rather difficult place to traverse. Gamer's often find themselves settling to a type of play-style that's comfortable for them...

Are you aggressive? often going for the risky and rewarding plays.

Do you rely on your heart? who often goes with the flow. Reacting to situations with your gut feeling alone.

Do you love to play mind games? Baiting or trashtalking your opponent to give yourself an edge.

Do you think that knowledge is the primary key to victory... using frame data or favorable match ups?

What kind off player are you?

-Ive never played first person shooters competitively, but I tend to be more aggressive when I play because I can always re-spawn 10 seconds later.

-In competitive pokemon (singles) I prefer a more bulky offensive team to tank hits while delivering good damage. Then I have 2 sweepers that can clean up late game. Although I have an offensive strategy, I do tend to take some time to carefully plan out my moves.

-In PvE games with PvP aspects, I tend to play safe and hide from players and only engage if I believe I have the advantage and can win.

But in all games, I dont trash talk or bait or anything like that. And I think knowledge is not the key to victory, but it is the prerequisite. You need to know everything to win, but its your skill that will win you the game. If

i don't really play games online anymore because of how over the top some people can be with these games today especially now the esports exist. when i do play online though my playstyle varies by the game. like fighters i'm overly aggressive usually attacking and not blocking much or if it's rocket league i try to play a balanced game of offense and defense.

    How about relying on EXPLOSIONS!?

As far as I'm concerned, I did reach Challenger tier in League of Legends a couple of times by just simply being knowledgeable about the game and making risks when they are well calculated. Of course practice and mechanics are there as well, and being comfortable with my champion pool.

ALSO? TRASH TALKING IN-GAME? WHO STILL DOES THAT? (PPC?) A REAL MAN PLAYS AND SHOWS RESPECT! LIKE HOW A MAN SHOWS RESPECT TO A WOMAN THAT HE LIKES!

I use a combination of game knowledge and hours of mechanical tuning to heighten my senses and my play. Perhaps what id like to thank league of legends for was the inclusion of the Practice Tool which has immensely helped me understand how some big plays are made. I actually spend at least a half hour to even 1 or even 2 hours messing around the practice tool to see more of the inner workings in league.

Thank the bee shield heavens for granting practice tools or practice modes in video games. Overwatch also has a practice tool feature which is extremely useful for understanding some characters and their workings such as firing patterns, projectile speeds, cooldowns, and even movement speed and hit boxes.

Also game knowlege helps harness many things such as mechanics and calculated Risks and predicted outplays. Oh and theres also practicing one good role and playing the other roles as a means to understand the game better.
