My daughter deleted her Grookey, that she received as her starter at the beginning of pokemon sword, off her team? We can't find it in any of her boxes and I am wondering if there's a way to get it back for her without restarting the game? I would really appreciate help on it. Thanks in advance.

If she didn't save after deleting/releasing it, then simply turning the Switch off and starting up the save file again will be enough.

If she did though, then your only options are to either start the game all over again, or to have someone trade her a new Grookey. There's not really any way to get a Pokemon back after deleting/releasing it.

Thank you for your reply. That's such a shame. Her game is set to automatically save as she plays along so it looks like the Grookey is gone for now.

It was worth seeing if there was a way to get it back. Thanks again.

It's a shot in the dark, but depending on her progress in the game, she could've accidentally left it in the Nursery? There are two Nurseries in the game, and that'd prevent Grookey from showing up.

Otherwise, she's almost certainly released/"deleted" it.
I don't have access to my Switch (and won't until Friday next week), but I'd be happy to make a Grookey egg for her, if you haven't reached some other solution by then!

hi! My son just did the same with Skeledirge. Can you help? Thanks!
