What updates do you want to see within the game?

Fixing the three step bug would be nice

I would love to see

- Bug fixes (goes without saying really)
- Trading between players
- Pokemon breeding as a way to produce high IV eggs (you'd breed your best to your best)
- Battling giving a small boost to a winning Pokemon (perhaps equivalent to 1/4 a stardust power up)
- Battling between players
- More Pokestops/gyms in suburban/rural areas
- Later generations of Pokemon being released
- Inclusion of very rare shiny Pokemon

I'd love to see some mechanism in the gyms to enable lower level characters to actually effectively take part, maybe have a tiered system of gym occupation? Not sure how that would work with the teams but Niantic is smart I'm sure they could figure something out. As it is people are going to be shut out pretty soon with just those who have the time/interest to level to the max levels getting a look in. I'm fine with top honors going to top players but you need to make the gyms accessible to everyone in a meaningful way.

I'd also love to see a way to cut short the cut sequences and a way to disengage in a battle. It gets really irritating if your battling a particularly recalcitrant rattata and there's a buzz that tells you a, potentially rare, pokemon has popped up.

Do you mean from gyms or from wild Pokemon? Because you can definitely run away from fights with wild Pokemon as I often do when a zubat is being stubborn :P

A Pokemon Amie type feature for more intractability with our Pokemon
Battling between trainers

Niantic are already taking requests for PokeStops but I would like to see more stops in rural areas :)

Lots of support for this. If we could optionally turn AR on to 'project' Pokemon into the real world and interact with them there, so much the better.

A better system to level up/evolve Pokemon than running into it and catching it so many times.

I would like to see these changes:

Gym Training: be able to select a specific monster to fight present at the Gym instead of working your way up from the bottom

Poke Balls: more higher level Poke Balls as you increase your level. Since the XP points rise exponentially, increase the percentage of higher Poke Balls at the Poke Stops

Higher XP Levels should get their power respected: at level 22, a CP 80 Pidgey should not be able to deflect 3 poke balls and break out of a 4th ...

I would love if they did away with the fleeing of Pokemon. Only some Pokemon can teleport or run away in the games, but not every Pokemon.

THIS. It's so disappointing saving up tons of candy to evolve a super strong Pidgeotto and then have the Pidgeot come out knowing Steel Wing or something. Likewise for mega rare Pokémon, finally hatching a rare Magmar from an egg and then not being able to use it as it knows Karate Chop is just ugh.

It has been confirmed over the weekend that Pokemon from other generations will be implemented in future updates of the game, since they do want every Pokemon obtainable eventually. Launching with just 1st Gen Pokemon was likely a testing ground and to celebrate the 20th anniversary.

Speaking of what I want to see implemented - shiny Pokemon. If finding a shiny was already an exciting experience in the main games then I'm sure it'll be in GO as well.

I know this is so annoying. I tried catching a Tentacool earlier today, but it broke out the ball and ran away. This feels like the safari zone, and I was never a fan of it.

When trying to catch a wild Pokemon, there is a button in the top left that looks like a little man running with wind behind him. Tap that and you will abandon the wild Pokemon and go back to the overhead map. The Pokemon will still be there on the map in case you want to retry :)
