Having read arc 5 in LN, I am very hype to watch this season. Things are going to get nuts.

Ranma 1/2 2024. I kept hearing about it and didn't want to watch the original (I don't think it covered everything anyway). I'm not sure if I'm supposed to take this anime seriously or not... but right now... I'd say... not lol. Hopefully I can enjoy it.

Rurouni Kenshin Kyoto Disturbance (remake Shishio arc) started dubbed this past Thursday. I'm hyped for this honestly and it's already off to great start IMO. I needed a god damn distraction anyway.

I watched The Orbital Children recently. It was... fine? The internal lore and stuff needed a lot of expanding on and the characters were pretty basic. I'm also doing a group watch through of MHA. We'll get to the most recent stuff eventually. We're near the end of S4 right now.

I was also disappointed by The Orbital Children, thought it was gonna be a lot better than it ended up being!

I think might have forgot to mention catching up with MHA in this thread too lol, just finished the latest season, enjoy your group watch!

Yeah, it's just another example of a solid premise let down by mediocre writing. With a bit more development and explanation, it could have been a lot better that it was. I didn't hate it, but I'm not rushing to recommend it to people either.

Was watching some older stuff today, both Kurumada series, the second season of Ring Ni Kakero and more of the original Saint Seiya (getting close to halfway!). I've been pretty slow getting through Saint Seiya, but really enjoyed what I watched of both series today.

Just started Dragon Ball Daima, I'm loving the old school Dragonball vibes. I'm also watching Yashahime, which is hitting me right in the nostalgia feels from Inuyasha. It's not quite as epic as the original, but it's looking pretty solid. Ah, and I'm deep into Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War—moving a bit slow, yeah, but damn, it's awesome seeing Ichigo back in action. o___O

Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Part 3 has finally started english dubbed. Why is this anime so PEAK lol. GREAT start already.

I finished Pluto, the latest part of Kengan Ashura (not great imo) and almost caught up on Blue Exorcist.

Started the OG 1983 Kinnnikuman series (loving it so far!) & still occasionally watch an ep or two here or there of Black Clover and Gintama.

shockingly still watching Saint Seiya (as well as reading the manga alongside now too haha) and also watched a bunch of the movies and Saintia Sho.

& airing I'm keeping up with Blue Lock, Dandadan and Dragon Ball Daima still.

I just finished Neon Genesis Evangelion, but I haven't watched the movie yet; which I've heard is vital to understanding the ending. Overall, I really liked it! I thought Shinji was a very relatable protagonist, even if he was a bit whiny at times. And the supporting cast was all fantastic; the series does a great job giving them all a good amount of screen time even with only 26 episodes; and they all had really vivid personalities / felt like 3D characters. I also liked how the show portrayed the mecha pilots struggling with their roles and identities as well as the political intrigue of NERV.

On the other hand,

episodes 25 and 26 felt like a really bizarre and underwhelming ending. It felt like the show was building up to finally revealing all the secrets built up throughout the show; what the Evangelions are, Asuka's backstory (it was implied in the final EPs, but not elaborated on in detail), what the deal is with Shinji's father, and what the committee people were working towards. Instead we get a 2EP acid trip into everyone's thoughts after Shinji kills the final angel. And while it was very insightful to see everyone's inner thoughts. It just kinda... ends with Shinji literally getting a standing ovation and a pat on the back for deciding he doesn't hate himself. No resolution with his father, or Tatsurgi, or anyone else. The whole thing about the 3rd impact is just dropped as well. I'll keep an open mind about the movie, End of Evangelion. But I've heard it's more of a different perspective to EP 25/26 than a sequel, so I can't say I have very high hopes.

Watching Love Live Superstar S3 and iDOLM@STER Shiny Colors S2.

Definitely preferring LL. Shiny Colors isn't bad, but it's a weaker entry than past series in the iM@S franchise. U149 from a couple years ago was more enjoyable IMO.

I caught up with Blue Exorcist, just waiting on the last ep (airing this week I think?), and I read that recent Naruto oneshot about Minato.

Still watching/reading everything else I already mentioned in my post above, but I've also started GTO and finished season one of Chuunibyou Love & Delusions.
