What was your first shiny Pokémon?

I think it was a shiny Caterpie in HeartGold... before it was even possible to get Pokeballs :V

It hurt to have to kill it, but some time later my sibling found a shiny Growlithe in the same game, so technically it evened out, I guess.

I just had my first shiny encounter today during my first play through of Platinum!

It was a shiny Golbat in Victory Road on my way to the Pokémon League!

First Shiny was Gyrados from Pokemon Gold. Although that's a guaranteed one so not sure it quite counts for the question, but I honestly don't remember my first Wild one.
