I'm wondering if its time for a restarted topic here? This ones been just about beat to death with no decision.

Orange or Green. I think I would like to have a Orange username more than Green, though.

Orange is supermods & we have been green already.

Well, purple is site admins, remember, and that's the supporter colour now. If the colour is already taken, it's not that big a deal. I think with the badges and the lack of bold name, the styling should be different enough that people will recognize the usergroups. And if not? They're probably the kinds of people who wouldn't know the difference between staff and supporter anyway. :P

This would be a nice color to have

Black would work well because most of the forum themes are light colors.

I like that light blue :D

I was thinking, maybe a darker orange? Cause our names would be lost on what few dark themes we have is we use black. The one that's up there in the poll is actually a nice color, and if it's on italics it won't be confused with the GM's unless the person can't tell the difference between colors or bold and italic.

All the good colors were taken and if we restrict ourselves to using only a color that NO GROUP is using then we'll have to go with ones that people didn't like. Like pink and colors we already used :/

I would love to have a blue colored name. Dark or Light.

I'd be fine with either light blue or orange. I'd be a nice change.

I think light blue'll start burning our retinas after a while. I'm more fond on the softer warmer light colours, like wheat (not the ingredient...).

Obviously, some of them are way too bright but at least you can tell the difference between the more closer shades.

I'm also curious about the italicised usernames, what does everyone think about them? They kinda annoy me tbh but that's only because I'm incredibly fastidious. It's not a big deal of course, I was just wondering is all~

Haha~ reading over that, I sound a little rash, so sorry about that. ^^;

Those colours aren't too bad, though they are relatively light for them to show up well on a lot of skins. I find Light blue a rather nice choice of colour for Supporters. What with it being of the lighter shade accompanied with the italicised font, I doubt there'd be much trouble with telling it apart from the current moderator Steelblue. But of course that can still be left open to debate.

All I'm aware of is that having an only italicised username is the most convenient way, aside from the colour, to represent a user whom has donated to the forums. The colour wouldn't be able to show too much differentiation from a regular username unless its a vivid hue, to which you will always find people who don't like colours that are too light, too dark, too hard on the eyes, etc. Plus if you were to bring up the idea of having bold alone without any colour, then people would easily mistake you for someone with a higher status. Bear in mind that this is only just my input, but to put it simply; I find italic usernames to hold more definition above anything else.

Yeah, I agree. Still, I'm just not fond of similarly coloured usernames, despite how significant the differences are. I think each group has their own colour to differentiate from the others and I kind of like it that way. Of course, I'm fine with whatever happens, since I'm all for change. /two cents

The italicised usernames I can live with since it make sense to have em. *nods* I didn't consider the contrasting skins so I can't criticise. xP

I think the most common problem when having to choose a colour for a specific group is that people will always want colours that are similar to what's already been given. I know by a fact that we had quite a few silly bickers in the past over what colour the mods should get, and every time we came to a decision and a colour was set, people would then complain about how ugly it was and we'd have to vote over and over again until we came to a decent decision.

I can agree with you, though. Having similarly coloured usernames don't hold as much individual quality as people could expect and even want. But one way or another, any colour or shade of your choice will always be similar to any already standing coloured ranks; unless your choice of shades consist of those that are very light or very dark, to which may not fare all too well with a majority of PC's multicoloured skins.

I will be very sour if we are changed to anything but purple >.>

So, is this a sign that colors are being tested? Or did someone really just get bored and decide to play around?
