What's the best starters to choose from?

just thought i'd point out that charizrd and typhlosion have exactly the same stats.

True... they also can learn the ever so needed Surf. But... I like fire. It's only weaknesses are ground, rock and water... right...? AND CHARIZARD CAN LEARN FLY!

Since when are flying pokemon vulnerable against ground attacks?
Char only has two weaknesses - water x2 and rock x4

2 things.
(1) Archer you double posted, merge those 2 please.
(2) Archer is right! Charizard becomes flying so he becomes immune to ground type moves! So only 2 weaknesses that can be overcome if you've got him at a high level with strong attacks like Flamethrower/Fire Blast, Arial Ace/Wing Attack, Blast Burn for good measure and one other attack that you may choose.

Mudkip would have to be the best starter for me to pick out of all the other generation starters because of the fact that it has a wide range of types of moves it can learn. For Kanto id probably choose charmander and for johto id pick cyndaquil.

Kanto: Charmander
Johto: Cyndaquil
Hoenn: Mudkip

I gott to say

Kanto:Squirtle, Blastoise has great hp and def and can own any fire type with the right moves

Jhoto:Cyndiquil, Typhlosion has good Sp.Atk which is good for its movepool

Hoenn:Torchic: Blaziken can OHKO rock and ice pokemon that have evil Rock/Water moves
And i think its speed is good so it can't give Rock/Ice pokemon a chance to beat it
