Whats Up Guys

Hey guys, Always liked Pokemon and Dragonball Z growing up. I am finally getting back into the Pokemon game! Funny how this came up because I am a full time student and school is coming back up again. I have an Ipad but Wi-Fi only. So I was thinking what can I play without Wi-Fi and I thought Pokemon! lol. Last game I played was Ruby Version but my favorite was Silver Version because my favorite pokemon is Lugia! I played Ruby because I thought Groudon looked "cooler" then I found out theres a remake but Lugia is in AS! I am thinking aw man and heard the previous games had original pokemons as well as new I have never seen. So my plan is to get a 3DS in couple weeks and maybe start with Black version and work my way up to OR/AS. I want to get the pokemon I have always liked and collect them. I am only during this because of the Pokebank! But yeah Cant wait to get started and meet new people and play or have normal convos with you guys! Hit me up! Sorry if this is a long intro lol. :D

Hey Silent! No you're intro's fine! It's better for it to be long so people can get to know you better anyways! I'm excited that you're getting a 3ds soon although tough luck on the whole Lugia business. Gamefreak and their game exclusive Pokemon! >.< Since you haven't played Pokemon since Ruby, I take it you haven't played fourth gen (Pearl, Diamond, Platinum) at all? If so I recommend starting with those and then going up to Pokemon Black since you''ll miss a whole region of Pokemon if you start from Black and go up.

Anyways have an awesome time here and I hope to see you around!

Yes yes good choice. I loved the fifth gen personally and it would make me happy if you tried it out, some people that haven't played for a while tend to skip it and go straight to X/Y and OR/AS. D; Which is no good! Gotta spread that Unova region love. Welcome to PC as well, Silent!

What you mean about the Lugia?? I thought you were able to catch him in AS after you beat the game? And I've heard of 4th gen but no never played it. The reason why I didnt consider them because I wanted to be able to play all pokemon games and transfer the pokemons I like and exclusive pokemons to the lastest version OR. Is there a way I can add 4th gen to the mix? If not ill pick one up just to play the storyline but as far from 5th to now, I was going to double up like black and white etc so I can get the exlusive pokemons without trading my good pokemons lol I dont know if that make sense.

Heeey there and welcome to PC! really nice to meet you!

Is great to hear that you're going back into Pokemon, and the 5th gen was great, I'm sure you're going to love it. They re my favorite Pokemon games, haha. Sucks when you need to trade to have all the Pokemons, or someone that you really want... Sigh. Oh, I'm sure that PC is going to be a fun place for you to be!

Yup! lol right? That is why I want to buy each set of games so I can get those exclusives then transfer them to a latest version of pokemon with pokebank! Thanks! Hope so!

Oh ok good lol I get you now but yeah I was planning to get both once I finished the earlier games. So I googled if I can transfer 4th gen to 5th gen with Pokebank, it said no BUT can be transferred the old school way then once it get to Black/White I can use Pokebank to put them in newer games. So since there is a way, what 4th gen game do you recommend that I start with?
