2nd Gen What's Your Dream Pokemon Team For Gen I?

What is you dream Pokémon team? This team cannot include any starters or Legendaries


For me the team would be Arcanine, Alakazam, Gengar, Snorlax, Gyarados and Magneton

My dream generation one team, hm… it'd probably consist of Charizard, Gyarados, Gengar, Zapdos, Machamp, and Rhydon. It'd be pretty vulnerable to rock due to having three flying-types (with one also being fire), but Rhydon and Chansey would be there to block and deal with them. :]

I was going to make one in B2W2 but didn't go very far with it.

Back then, though, the best teams had Tauros, Chansey, Alakazam, Slowbro, Exeggutor... Basically any Psychic and strong Normal Pokémon.

It's not really a dream team if you can't include starters and legendaries, though. Some people, like myself, might really like them. This isn't my favorite generation of Pokemon by any means and taking those out removes two of my favorites that I'd actually want.

Too bad I never have anyone to trade my pokemon with so I can't use half of these.

I usually go for Charizard (sometimes I'll pick Squirtle), Nidoking (although I have no problem going for Nidoqueen if she appears), Aerodactyl, Raichu, Gyarados, and the last one I pick is usually something random so I can use HMs. Sometimes I'll just do the Mew glitch but I don't do that often.

Marowak: One of, if not, my favourite Gen 1 Pokemon. Would probably be my "Starter" :3

Pidgeot: The strongest Pokemon I ever owned in the first 2 generations.

Vileplume: Pidgeot's faithful partner in crime.

Poliwrath: Have a rather fond attachment to this little guy. Funnily enough, in HG/SS, I had a Poliwrath that could never win a single important battle. I started measuring all other Pokemon I owned against him, seeing if any other Pokemon had the "Poliwrath" factor. Amazingly enough, Lucario in White2 suffered from it, but I'm way off topic here.

Jolteon: My favourite Electric type of the first Generation.

Nidoqueen: Another favourite of the first Generation.

Hmmm. I've never played the 1st Gen but my dream team would probably be Alakzam, Gengar, Arcanine, Nidoking, Slowbro and Electabuzz.

Just my favorite pokemon of that generation. haha. (WHY CAN'T I PUT CHARIZARD WHY?WHY?)

I'd probably choose my original team that I beat Yellow with when I was a kid.

Raichu. Love his design and I liked that he could learn fighting moves to counter rock types. Always a solid starter.

Charizard. My first level 100 and overall fun to use, plus he could use Fly.

Dugtrio. Awesomely fast ground type.

Hypno. I will always prefer him over Alakazam in every way. He was one of the star members of my team back then.

Poliwrath. One of the few Fighting types I like.

Dewgong. He looks awesome, and it was good to have an Ice-type for Lance back then!

Also, Mew if legendaries are allowed because he's my favorite G1 Poke!

I've never been a big fan of the Kanto region, but every single one of its Pokemon holds substantial nostalgic value in my mind, so it's still a tough decision. Right now, my dream team would consist of Dewgong, Venomoth, Arcanine, Sandslash, Jolteon, and Vileplume.

They almost look like the rainbow don't they?
This would definitely be my final team I think, with a small Charmander as the ring leader hehe.

It contains all of my favorite Generation 1 Pokemon minus Butterfree, Eevee, and Mew.
