    Well..

My favorite band is the great Led Zeppelin.

Reason: I heard about them one day in my Green Day phase when my dad told me they were among the forefathers of metal and rock, etc.

I laughed, dissed them 'cause they were old, and didn't hear much of them until June 2008. I Downloaded Stairway to Heaven out of the blue, and it blew me away. I didn't like much of their other songs at all, but now, even the most obscure song of theirs is great to me. (Led Zeppelin is an acquired taste.)

And as many times as I hear Stairway, it still moves me like it did the first time I heard it.

So yeah. I also The Cat Empire, Hendrix, Buckethead, and others.

Like many, I have a few favorite bands too.

Poison: They're just a good band. I got into them through Guitar Hero, and I looked into them a bit, and liked them because they sang about a life everyone aspired to, but also about the life that you lived on a day-to-day basis.

The 4-Skins: One of the best bands in the world that few have heard of, three minute blasts of fury that contain the best and worst of your life experiences in a heartfelt, aggressive manner.

Frank Sinatra: Ol' Blue Eyes... I can't say enough good things about the guy, besides him being a phenomenal musician.

The Redskins: An old Northern Soul band from England, the Redskins put Communist/Socialist anthems into incredibly catchy soul that had me, a non-soul fan, become a fervent Redskins fan in moments after hearing their first track on CD.

My favourite band is Minus the Bear. I love seeing great local bands rising in the music scene and not losing their quality of music. They have some of the most unique song titles I've ever seen and the abstract beats and tempos used really make each of their songs great.

    The Pink Spiders.
I mean, who else names their tour the "Tapped Kegs, Spread Legs and Fertilized Eggs Tour"? Not to mention Matt Friction is a bad-ass.

Apart from The Pink Spiders though, I also really enjoy Rooney, Phantom Planet, Louis XIV and The Kooks.

I'm surprised no one has said the two I'm about to post.

Nirvana - You knew I was gonna post this. And it's all because of Cobain. He could sing in any type of way, whether it be a ballad type song (Frances Farmer and Polly), a peaceful, remorseful song (All Apologies), an anthem for everyone around the world (Smells Like Teen Spirit), or completely loosing it (Endless, Nameless, where he also played a mean guitar), this is my band. I know it's frowned upon to post lyrics on the forums, but here is a song from his first band. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWc510xQGFk&feature=PlayList&p=1E54B13A556D904D&index=9 This song is unknown and fans want this tape to be release by Courtney Love (who needs the money anyway, so she should just do it, but that is for another time). The name of the band is a little innapropriate, but come on. Try singing like that for 1 minute, 30 seconds.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Amazing band. Kiedis singing is awesome, but the lyrics and guitar make it all up. Early Chili Peppers is ALL ABOUT BEING THE NASTIEST PUNK ROCK BAND EVER (the caps are there for a reason), but through the years their style has changed for the better. Great job, guys for 25 years. Make it 25 more.

Genesis, because Progressive Rock is awesome. They also have so many albums with such a wide variety, so there is a lot to choose from; spanning across over 30 years.

    Favorite Bands...couldn't pick one.

    Placebo ♥
They make amazing music and Brian Molko has a unique voice that is really easy to identify. The band has evolved alot since they started, but they always make brilliant music with meaningful well-wrote lyrics.

    Mindless Self Indulgence ♥
They're really amusing and fun to listen to, I guess. I like the atomoshpere thier music gives and the attitude Jimmy has to his fans. The lyrics are bizzare and vulgar but to have meaning. And well, MSI are just epic.

But my favorite musical artist is actually a solo singer.

    Emilie Autumn ♥
Perhaps THE most original and unique woman I've seen, music-wise and fashion wise. Her style is very diverse, and she can pull off multiple music genres so you couldn't label her music one way. She's also quite unheard of despite how special she is - and I guess she is an aquired taste.

    Favorite Band: Streetlight Manifesto

Reason Why: Punk-Ska is my favorite genre of music and Streetlight have been the only band to perfect this genre (in my opinion). Their newest album somewhere in the between is near perfect and I love all the songs on it but one. Streetlight is also one of the few ska bands with a barry sax player. Being a trombone player I love horn lines. Streetlight probally has the best hornlines ever. you all should really check them out.

Aw mans I have a lot...
I like Relient K, FM Static, Falling Up, Spoken, Superchic[k], Family Force 5, The Classic Crime, Capital City...
Haha. Most of my music is Christian rock/metal/crunk/... I don't even know. But I like it.
Prolly My current fave is The Classic Crime cus I'm really hooked on their song "The Fight" right now. It's really amazing cus the beat laid down by the drums in the very beginning is just... AH. Good. And the singing has a slight harshness in some parts, but it's not screamo at all. The guitar part is awesome too. It's just a totally amazin song, you know?
OK. So you prolly don't know. But you should look it up! Lol. ^_~

I'm a really big music person, so there's a lot of bands that I like.
My favorite is a tie between:
    Destroy the Runner
Love their screams, and their songs are really catchy. They add an awesome feel to the screamo-norm. They have a phenominal guitarist, and I feel they don't get enough credit for their awesome-ness.

    Escape the Fate
A little too mainstream, but awesome. They've overcome so much as a band, losing Ronnie and there rhythm guitarist and getting back in the game. It's a nice combo of screams and singing, and the guitarist is awesome.

    Memphis May Fire
One of the best classic screamo bands. They have an amazing screamer and make really good music. They also not only add techno, but blend it in really well with the instruments. They're also really funny people, I've seen videos of them. They have nice music taste, and have....interesting lyrics.

    All Time Low
One of the only good pop/punk bands. Not so much focused on the instruments (There songs are like three chords each and never have solos, only palm muting.) However, Alex Gaskarth writes awesome lyrics and his vocal notes are matched with the guitar and drum notes. It's a really nice combonation.

Yea, I'm mostly a metal/screamo type of person, but I still like catchy techno and pop songs. :B

My favorite band is Green Day. I love them because their music is true and I've been enjoying their music for a long time now and their attitude just appeals to me.

U2 of course Regardless of all the criticisms this band recieves, particularly in recent times, they have clearly had an incredible impact on my musical history. I don't think anyone can argue with me.

Not a band, a solo singer

Ummm, my favorite singer is Kerli. I LOVE her, mostly because she cannot be defined. She can be gothic, electronic, pop, and many many more, listen to the entire Love Is Dead album and you will see what I mean. She has no genre, and I really respect that. Not to mention the fact that she has an Estonian accent really makes her voice stand out, and she has an amazing vocal range. One of my favorite things about her is that she is not mainstream, and it needs to stay that way. If you listen to her even once, you will understand why she is my favorite singer.

My favorite changes a lot, but at the moment, it's gotta be Seether.

Shaun (their lead vocalist/writer) has been through a lot in the past few years, but he still gives as much as he can to Seether's fans. They have a wide range of lyircal styles/values, and to top it off, they made an awesome cover of "Careless Whisper".

    Yndi Halda.
I just adore the sound they produce.

Oh man. Do we have to pick only one?

    No, I say. :]

    My favorite bands:

Billy Talent - Spent the entire '06 summer listening to this band. No matter what, they remind me of that summer

    Cobra Starship
    - Just a really good band. I listened to them a lot last year. XD;

    Home Made 家族
    - A Japanese band I listened to all of last year also. They're great.

Panic at the Disco - Used to hate them, but now I love all of their songs.

Your taste basically parallels my sister's. Which is very cool, because my sister listens to some great music.

My favourite band is Minus the Bear. I love seeing great local bands rising in the music scene and not losing their quality of music. They have some of the most unique song titles I've ever seen and the abstract beats and tempos used really make each of their songs great.
