My favourite Pokemon is Cloyster because it looks so cool, its a fighting oyster with spikes and a rock hard shell! Its attcks can be so cool, it can learn: Ice Beam, Hydro cannon (TM), Spike Cannon, and other good Ice/Water attacks.

Magikarp would very much not be my favorite, but it's so amusing in a pathetic way.
