4th Gen What's Your Team?

Which Starter Will You Choose?

Since starter pokemon invariably suck, I instead instantly swapped my Cyndaquil for a Cubone. So my party right now consists of:

Cubone - covers ground/normal/steel; not a lot of depth or width to his moveset, but he's a powerhouse
Beedrill - covers all bug/flying/poison needs
Poliwhirl - covers water/ice/normal/psychic

I'm thinking of picking up a Flareon or Growlithe later, plus an Aerodactyl. And maybe an additional pokemon for HM slaving. Heracross? Or maybe Golduck.
 
I honestly hand to god right now could not tell you all i know is im going to have politoed and ampharos in my team
 
My Team:
- Typhlosion
- Jumpluff
- Lanturn
- Stantler
- Mismagius (Traded a Dusk Stone from Plat)
- Hypno
 
This is the team I want when HeartGold comes out.

Arcanine - One of my favorite Pokemon, trained in FireRed, Emerald, Diamond.
Feraligatr - Never really trained before, and I've always picked Cyndaquil.
Scizor - I used to train Scyther, and they were decent, and I've had good experiences with Scizor in the Battle Factory in Emerald.
Umbreon/Weavile - I hope you can get these/ A very useful Pokemon in Diamond.
Ursaring - Good moveset and I'll probably keep him as long as a trainer keeps a Raticate, up to the Elite Four.
Electivire - Very cool Pokemon, strong electric type.

I'll just catch some useless Pokemon as my HM Slave.

Sorry for the double post...
Ho-oh matches Typhlosion and Crobat's types as well, so either you could replace Typhlosion, or replace Ho-oh, since Crobat is a dual type (Poison/Flying) that Ho-oh doesn't have.

my team is shiny dragonite(legit from my pt), arceus (legit eigakan one), shiny dragonair(legit from my pt), shiny nidoqueen (legit my pt), rattata, blank space
 
I don't play the Soul Silver i download that much, Because it is Japanese which i really don't understand and i don't have any good interests on Pokemon Games. Anyway hear is my team-

Pole/Politoed (lvl36).
Currently going to pwn Red, with my overleveled Tyrantar, Typhlosion and Weavile :D
 
Well I started playing Soul SIlver on a rom.. but then I sort of gave up because I was too lazy to try and level up to beat the Kimono Girls and Elite 4.

But I've already planned my team for when I buy HeartGold.

I may replace Tangrowth with Venasaur.
 
I'm waiting to purchase the game in Spring for the English copy, but I've pretty much gotten my team figured out. Going to have to do some trading to complete the team, but I'm pretty sure this is how it's going to turn out.
