When Game Meets Reality(Pokemon Edition)

    I was just wondering: Have you ever played a Pokemon game so long or so much, that you started associating things in real life to the game?

    I thought of asking because the other day, my mom was driving me from my sisters house and we passed by someones little crop of tomato plants. I noticed immediately that the soil was really pale, and I thought "Uh oh, they need to water their berries." >_>

    I guess it probably happens with any game you play(I remember mentally lining up Tetris blocks in the crack of a door once), but I was really curious about Pokemon. =D
     
    I drive my sister nuts whenever we buy sweet bread at the bakery. Because I always think of Poffins. Lol, I'm such a nerd. But a cool one, I suppose.
     
    Kinda more suited for Pokemon General. And I've had a lot of those, but I just can't remember them at the moment. :< idk why.
     
    I'm embarrassed to admit that more than once I've called a sparrow a Spearow...

    Can't think of any other Pokemon-Reality moments right now.
     
    Umm... yeah.
    In English we were reading Sinbad's travels and on his 2nd one he sees a giant bird flying overhead... hmm... Ho-Oh maybe?
    Also whenever I read something where someone who is evil disguises themselves and no one recognizes them, I think of Team Rocket...

    I guess those examples are related more to the anime than the games, but there have been other times that I just can't think of right now.
     
    Once, I was at my friend's house, and her guinea pigs were running around their cage and being really hyper-active, so I was going to tell my friend, and I called them bidoofs :p

    Also, one time I saw something jump out of a lake, and I was automatically thinking magikarp!
     
    I occasionally misread/mishear things that aren't Pokemon words as things that are Pokemon words, but that's pretty much it.

    LMAO!!! xD xD I love that simply because I have five guinea pigs and they're always hyper. I can never look at them the same now...xD
     
    Ever since I was a little kid, I've had trouble separating the word pigion from pidgey.... they sound the same. I occassionally mishear things that sound like pokemon, or I accidently say something pokemon related, instead of what I was supposed to say. "Hey have you done you houn- homework?"
     
    I do it all the time with all the games I play. I also at times talk about things in terms of levels or elemental weaknesses.

    :O Just like what happened to Ash when he started out.

    You know, I hardly ever mistake something for a Pokemon, but once I did see a tree that was trimmed like a Sudowoodo. Also, if I'm bored at Walmart or whatever, I'll imagine a Pokemon running around, doing something (like pulling the pants of those annoying wannabe gangstas the rest of the way down. Go Sneasel!).
