Skye nodded thankfully at Celeste, but turned her attention away when the Mage returned. Celeste seemed busy enough talking to him, and she didn't wish to interrrupt.
Tsubasa took to the sky with the elven angel on his back. They flew low over the treetops, his great white wings spread magestically. Skye felt better up in the air, freer, able to think.
She knew what lay at home...the guardians...the parents who had cared for her her whole life. And she knew the road ahead would be troublesome, but truth be told, she had never felt whole just living at the bath house. She needed to find the rest of herself along this road, and perhaps her journies would lead her back home.
She thought of a song then, and sang gently to Tsubasa, a song her mother back home had sung to her when she was feeling down. Skye figured they could both use cheering.
My heart is ready to beat
I can feel the wind underneath my feet
I'm gonna jump over the moon
hands in the air, waving up like a balloon
I'm free as a bird
lost in the stars and waving down to earth
don't know where I'm gonna land
but you gotta wobble up before you stand
*
I'm soaring
I'm alone and on my own
I'm soaring and I know my heart will lead me home
Just look in my eyes
can't you see I'm not the same today
I can see farther now, step off the edge
I'm making my own way
don't know where I'm gonna land
but you gotta wobble up before you stand.
And I know that I gonna touch the skies
I'm soaring
I'm alone and on my own
I'm soaring and I know my heart will lead me home.
Feeling a little better, Skye flew on, watching the other beneath her, and enjoying the freedom of being up in the air.
