When worlds collide!

"Aha" I said, pulling my claw out from the pile of gemstones. In it, I held a small, perfectly shaped black diamond, about one and a half inches in diameter...

I indicated a large mirror leaning up against the wall. "When you look into that mirror, you can 'see' the thoughts of those around you." I said. "But I'm not through yet, wait a moment." I walked over to where I kept my golden chains, and got one that was about necklace size, molded it together into locking parts at the ends, fixed the black diamond to it, and muttered a simple incantation under my breath. Afterwards, I turned back to eclipse, and handed her the jewel. "It should grant a bit more control over your abilities while in demon mode, I couldn't help but noticed that you also seemed to be damaging yourself." I finished.

"So you've been looking into my mind?" I asked, not really sure what to really think about that. I quickly put the necklace on, and though it felt a bit odd to have it on, I quickly got used to it. "So why do you even care if I'm damaged or not?" I asked him. normally everybody biggest dream was to kill a demon...

Her response caught me off guard "Well, not really, as we were passing by, my eyes caught it, and I kind of 'overheard' it. And err... We are partners after all, what could we get from one of us damaging themself?"

"I see." I said, even though I personally beleived he had his own reasons. at this point, my genetics had changed sides, the demon was getting angry, and the vampire was telling it to shut up. overall, i was finding this entire situation overly coincidental. "In that case, why did you come after me when I was under mind control?" I asked, my voice starting to go back into it's usual dark tone.

The moment after Eclipse asked, I mentally spoke a small spell, making a nearby furnace created by kobolds which needed no fuel activated itself, causing a massive racket so you almost couldn't hear yourself thnk. "Drat! I swear this infernal piece of trash has a mind of it's own!" I shouted over the noise, and walked over to it, trying to shut it off.

The noise prodused instantly hit my sound-sensitive ears, and I flinched, much to my own shock and disgust. I heard the dragon yell something, but considering my ears had just gone mostly deaf, I couldn't hear what it was...

"Danger will pass." Exodus said warming up the troll again. "My own daughter...a vegetarian...that'll change when we're on the move for 2 days straight and you need the protein." He said with a friendsly chuckle. "We'll get you fighting fit even if it kills Johann, right boy!?" He said to me as I woke up and came over to the fire rubbing my eyes.

"What do you mean 'even if it kills Johann'?" I said laughing as if he was just kidding around.

"Exactly what I meant, I have to scout for danger and find the paths, so you'll have to be in charge of training both Crystal and Skye." He said seriously as he made sure the troll was cooked the whole way through.

"Crystal's an angel, Skye's half angel, 1/4 moon elf and 1/4 drow! They could probably train me!" I countered as I sat down.

"Nonsense, boy! You're reflexes have already proven unmatchable, and your becoming quite the gymnist. Your weapon use already is unbelieveable, you took to your sword like a 300 year old elf would take to his bow!" Exodus argued. "Your skills are way beyond them now, but they'll be easy to teach." He said cutting the rest of the Troll up, so they could have breakfast.

I finally shut off the furnace, and then walked back over to Eclipse "Sorry about that, ever since I enchanted that thing to keep the mountain to a certain temperature, it's been activating on it's own when it shouldn't."

"it's okay, I don't think my ears are damaged much" I said, moving my hands from where they had been covering my ears and noticed they were covered in blood. "why in cruel fate must I have the hearing of a bat..." I muttered under my breath...

Crystal awoke the next morning, feeling rather homesick. She always woke up to see her mother, looking down at her with a smiling face. Sora noticed her partner's uneasiness and tried to cheer her up. Crystal patted her head and thanked him. She grabbed her backpack and headed to a lake she found last night. She took a quick bath then dressed in a black sleeveless shirt, yellow shorts that hugs her figure perfectly, and put on a yellow bandana.

When she was done, she walked back to their 'camping site' and heard Johann and Exodus talking.

"Actually Johann, I'm just a half angel like Skye." She said as she tied the laces of her shoes.

I instantly cursed myself for not thinking that it might damage her ears, and muttered a healing spell, which immidiately began repairing Eclipse's ears with a small whitish-blue aura. "I'm really sorry about that thing, If I hadn't needed it back in my world, I would have taken it apart, but here in this desert, I think I'll go ahead and do that later."

"Yes, but I'm just a normal human!" I said laughing, to my surprise, but questions like, "How am I supposed to teach them?" and "What happens if I'm unable to teach them?" kept running through my mind.

"You'll do fine, after all you don't want Crystal to get hurt, right?" Exodus said biting into a peice of leg.

"No I don't, especially if I have the power to stop it." I said nodding as I bit into a peice of meat, I really didn't know what part it came from.

"Then let that be your motivation. Besides if I didn't think you could do it, you wouldn't be here, human. I don't bring anyone along that will slow me down." He saidtrying to reassure me.

I nodded and then turned to Crystal, her expression wasn't as cheerful as it had been yesterday. I patted the space beside me signalling for her to sit down with me. "Feeling homesick? To tell you the truth, I am too." I said in a low voice, remembering the short note I left my parents.

"You sure I can't blow that thing into a million peices?" I said darkly. "or if not, can we at least go and do something, I think I'm getting cabin fever!"

Crystal grinned at Johann, feeling a little better, and sat down beside him. "Yeah, but I'll get over it." She said, hoping she didn't make him sad. "Sorry to remind you about it."

She grabbed the bow Exodus gave her and stood up. "See you later, I'm going to train for a while." She waved goodbye to him and headed into the deeper part of the forest. Once there, she called out Sora, who she recalled while she was taking a bath and started her training. She used Sora's Dragonbreath to hit a tree. She thanked her then started aiming the falling leaves.

Skye rolled her eyes.

"I can take care of myself fine, thanks," she growled, her foul mood becoming worse. She got aboard Tsubasa's back, and took off to train on her own.

Her parents had made sure she wasn't completely defenseless. She had taken a traiditional martial art, native to her home town. The people of Blackthron had trained themselves and their Pokemon to fight side by side, feeding off each others' strengths, and compensating for their weaknesses. She had some experience with a blade as well, not one nearly as light as the one she had now, and it relieved her stress to swing it through the air with great ease.

"He'll never have me eating meat," she snorted, stabbing the air with a powerful jab. "If there's one thing I know about angels, it's that they can't eat another living creature. Pure angels can't even eat vegetables...they can only drink milk, and get their energy from the sun. Even Exodus ought to know that."

His name felt strange on her tongue as well, though not as strange as "father." She scrunched her nose, and continued to practice, waiting to be called to rejoin the group.

Exodus flung his head in Crystals direction, signally to help her train. I obeyed and went to find Crystal, who was, when I caught up to her, shooting leaves. "Don't be afraid to pull the bow back further, keep your chin up and your shoulders straight." I said not hoping that I was being too critical, I didn't want to end up sounding like Exodus. "Nevermind me, I don't know what I'm talking about, I've never shot a bow." I said sitting on a log and watched her shoot her bow. "I don't know how Exodus thinks I'm going to train you, when I have know clue what I'm talking about..." I muttered to myself, as I looked at the ground.

Meanwhile Exodus put the rest of the meat in a bag and said to himself, "Can't leave anything, behind, we'll need everything we can get our hands on."

Exodus then sat down on a stone and got out a staff, and whispered to know one inparticular, "It was your mothers, she was very proud of the staff. She said that I should use it whenever I miss her, and she said to give it to Skye when she is ready for it."
