5th Gen Where is Isshu? Confirmed - New York

show me one region that is an EXACT match of any real place.
even shanghai isn't an exact match to isshu.

It might be an artistic expression but i wouldnt put an entire peninsula and the sea on that side as an artistic expression o.O
And there is only one desert in pokemon games, in pokemon r/s/e but it wasnt that much of a desert though :D hehe.
And notice that manhattan is an island, and that the fist penninsuila in isshu(that represents manhatan in nyc theory) isnt, it is most likely just separated by 2 rivers.

Yeah victiny might be a hint to nyc, but u must also have in mind that this game is made by a japanese corp. and if u have ever seen japanese ppl(especally girls) they adore and always flash the V sign with their hands as in victory, just like victiny does, so it might be just a trick to get japanese ppl more interested in it. (it is a big hit in japan to do the v sign)

228. might not be desert, just a wasteland. And btw by etc. do you mean football player, well japanese like to copy other cultures but still it might be.

nyc has all seasons, ofc shanghai has all seasons too, only tropical places or places up north and south doesnt have all seasons.
geography-ok u might think that they are similar, but i really think that isshu and nyc have nothing incommon.
koni island and farris wheel- i dont know bout koni island, so that might be true, but cmon there are a lot of amusement parks everywhre, so why wouldnt there be one in shanghai too. Idk bout that.

Hiuin city, this is why u ppl tick me off, because this shws taht u are obviously from usa since u dont know taht every city on earth that is located in a place similar to that looks that way, and is usually more advanced then the rest of area.
So i agree on victiny, f player, pokemon sunday ppl, and maybe koni island but I really dont know bout this, i dont see why that wouldnt be an amusement park in shanghai.

The islands seem bigger than the isshu one's but they have changed the geography of some regions quite a bit :)

Sure that might be it.
But here again u guys are using the wrong picture!!! use the picture that fully shows isshu not that part. And maybe even u see that it is not that similar to nyc. And in case u dont have it here it is (again):

It is the picture of isshu viewed in full(not read ur post again and say what u said has any sense), that picture u posted was just a part of it, what does it matter if it is high link or whatever it is the same geographically. And here is a comparison(I guess u are probably not gonna like it):

Which one do you think is more probable, if u dont like it, try taking ur own picture, ittl be the same, i assure you.

it was allready confirmed that isshu is far awy from the other regions which are located in japan, so it's not in japan.


i still think it's nyc because it has more evidence going for then shanhai does.

I don't understand why some of the fans are insisting it isn't NYC because the geography isn't exactly the same down to a tee. I'm aware the other regions looked similar to their real-world counterparts, but tradition can easily change just how it was easily made. They may have decided to add more of their own flare this time to give Pokemon a little uniqueness.

Maybe it's even a cross between Shanghai's geography and NYC's history and people. The different facts presented to us have otherwise said NYC up to this point to me.

• Liberty Island with a tower holding the Victory Pokemon : a reference to World War II.
• Football players : an American sport, since it's obviously not a Soccer uniform.
  
• Hiun City being the biggest city on the map right next to the ocean, holding the port to said Liberty Island : Just like NYC.
• Isshu is in fact far from the other regions. Shanghai, China and Japan are next-door neighbors.
  

All of it seems far too coincidental don't you think? Can someone tell me, besides geography, how Shanghai and Isshu are alike? I'm proper confused. ]:

Well the culture of the region isn't always based on that of the Region, for example Sinnoh had french culture in it, the clothes of the players is one, and some other stuff.

and btw i dont see why would pokemon game reference world war II, audience for these games mostly havent been born during that time.

idk, ive read somewhere that china banned imported tv shows, like the simpsons, spongebob and pokemon. it was quite a long time ago, so it may not still be the law there.
