That's exactly what I made the post to ask about. Just because NYC and Isshu don't have the same geography it's not the same place? I don't understand how that works.

Well they only change the Geography so much but NYC is too big of a change, I'm beginning to think that they just made it our of scratch and added some New york culture in...

That was my opinion at first too, but i kinda started to like this shanghai theory.
Btw red chain, im not saying that u have to be chinese to believe in taoism, but, taoism is chinas signature religion, whilst american is protestantism, and the must be very little percent of taoists in amerca. Btw i highly doubt u know anything about yin-yang, because u wouldn't act that way, i dont mean to offend u but i really think u are lying bout that.

And as for shanghai stuff that relates it to isshu besides geo, are:
-religion-yin-yang
-size, again tokyo and nyc are bout the same size, and that would mean that isshu is the size of saffron city. However they might not stick to the proper sizes in game, but untill now regions have always been about the same size.

All of this I have said before, and yet u guys always skip these or say somthing stupid like there is no yin-yang or idk. I have always taken all of your ideas and think about them, and finally wrote what i dont like about them.

if saffron city is the size of tokyo then why can i cross it in 54 steps?
size isn't a factor in pokemon

religion
my girlfriends aunt is in fact a Taoist and she has no Asian background.
i wear a guitar pick with yin and yang on it around my neck and i'm not very religious at all.
plus USA has freedom of religion, which is a big deal to us. our whole country was found of of that basic concept.
there is a large mix of culture in NYC.
not sure if you know this but there is huge controversy about Muslims building a a religious building near ground zero.

there is yin yang incorporated into these games. i am agreeing with on this one.

NYC is just a big a candidate if not bigger than shanghai.
 

Maybe I'm just crazy because I live in one of the only states in the US that still celebrates the semi-controversial "Victory over Japan Day," but I feel like Victiny is sort of tied to that? But I don't know. xD

Well people in China proably play Football too...and all the other things of NYC, now the Liberty island is the only thing I have left holding me to NYC...

No one is a saint, whether you believe in the Yin-Yang philosophy or not. Anyway, this thread isn't about me, so back on topic sounds good yeah?

I don't see why you insist Isshu is in China because of Reshiram and Zekrom being the Black Yin and White Yang Pokemon and because of NYC not looking exactly like Isshu. The change is not all that drastic from a satellite point of view. It just looks like Isshu was flipped upright.

this is again something i dont like about amercians, and why most of the world finds u stupid, because u dont know about other cultures. If u didnt know most of the world has freedom of speach and religion, there are just as much religions in my country as urs, and the percentage of ppl that are taoist in USE is really small, search it up. When looking at the map of religions, the only place where taoism is the national religion is china and maybe some land near it.

This is true the Western world hold the ideals of freedom not just the US, see I know my culture and I'm American :)
Well the geography of a region can only be changed so much...

Well that sure is extreme! No xD I was thinking it was more along the lines of them... Saying "it's okay we're not mad anymore." A very subtle political thing.

what i meant bye "freedom of religion" is that i was a big deal BACK THEN.
i know today that you could go to , oh lets say Canada as an example, a Canadian would say what religion are you? you could say i'm a christian or a pokemonistic and they wouldn't care either way.
i know that most of the world has freedom of religion and speech, the whole nine yards.
and you don't need to state that most of the world finds us stupid. thats just mean, off topic, and meaningless.

Wrong reason? Cmon u cant be serious, this is not valid picture, it is zoomed so it would look a little bit mor like isshu, but the left part is not seen here, so u are again avoiding the facts by putting unvalid pics.

I want Isshu to be Shanghai and NYC together. The religion and looks with the history of NYC and the people.
I guess that would mean the Japanese are becoming less xenophobic as well. :x

I was merely speculating that if Isshu WAS New York based that it could possibly allude to VJ Day or something.

Victiny could mean a lot of things, but remember that this game is mostly aimed at japanese youth, so thats why i connected it to V sign, they often make, u can see it everrywhere, especially on schoolgirls, thee isnt even one schoolgirl on a picture that doesnt flash V sign. Its also cute :D kawaii

i know it existed before America!
i'm saying that when we immigrated to America it was a big deal to the immagrants to have freedom of religion and not be ruled by the laws of the British kingdom. then the revolutionary war happened but thats off topic.

I think that people are forgetting that Nintendo said they wanted BW to be aimed at the International audience not just the Japanese audience...
