Someone leaks information to Serebii, not really ethical information gathering. America got all upset for an episode title mentioning the word "tower". And I recall there being another few skipped/banned because of some pretty small things.

No it had nothing to do with the word tower its the fact that tentacruel knocked over a lot of buildings...

And you'd realize how stupid your opinion was for making Serebii look like a God amongst the pokemon fanbase.

Never EVER said Serebii was a god... but Pokebeach, Serebii, etc know there **** its just common sense to trust their word over a random person... plus Serebii usually wouldn't say "I think its NYC" unless he really though that... If he was 1% off about it he prob wouldn't say anything...

Serebii can't tell his left hand from his right. While everyone else can tell the difference, so it is safe to say that Serebii's opinion is not better than anyone's.

I'm 99% sure Serebii is smarter than some Australian that can't comprehend a joke... Stick to making games...

to the west of new york city, is new jersery. new jersery has LOADS of mountains.

and as far as the dessert, i find it hard that a major city (other than las vegas) would be built on the side of a desert in the first place.

last time i checked Southern japan wasnt full of ice caverns either,& yet Hoenn has ice caverns, same for Kanto,& Johto
and i also think Japan doesnt have a desert at all, and voila there it is in Hoenn!

honestly, its so obvious >.> Pokemon is its own world, but its still based off areas of our world, just cuz it changes certain things to allow us more DIVERSE pokemon types, doesnt make it any less of the area its based on.

And yes about the desert/mountains thing, I was actually starting to wonder if maybe they shrunk all of America down into little o' Isshu... ^_^; But of course there is no way that we can prove it's New York. The game isn't even out yet! But yes, there is a very good possibility that Isshu is based or inspired by New York.
The other regions are not perfect matches for where they are based on. The game's environment would not be as diverse if that was the case. So they add in a little of this and a little of that to change it up a bit, I mean, it is just a videogame. It by no means is required to be a perfect match.
I can see why everyone is saying that it's not New York because the geography doesn't fit perfectly so they're saying other locations based mostly just on geography. We have much more than the geography evidence for leaning towards that Isshu is inspired by New York so... Yeah... Looking at Isshu right now I'm only seeing New York... >.<

You are actually getting on my nerves. Always coming in here trying to start a flame war when we are discussing Isshu being NYC. It is most likely NYC get over it. @Rocky, I'm on your side. I'm simply saying that you can't just say "IT'S NEW YORK GET OVER IT!" And I'm not "trying to start a flame war". I'm pointing out all the remaining arguments against New York so we can work together to remove them. And look - the desert one is already gone. There's no real desert on Kyushu, unlike the one in Hoenn. Game Freak doesn't base their deserts on real ones.
