Where's Gary?!

Has Gary even shown up in the DP series yet, and will he ever? Gary was the coolest rival ever!

Gary shows up in DP from time to time. He was in that Shieldon episode recently, I remember.

Gary isn't so much Ash's rival anymore. But he did appear in DP.

Yes he made ONE appearance so far, it was one of those "better" episodes..
Gary was too nice to be a rival, Paul is just evil, that's what I call a rival.

Gary is content with his Pokemon trainer career as of now, so he kinda switched to Professor and stepped off the plate for Ash's rival. The new person is Shinji/Paul I guess. Hey, hopefully Gary won't just die off like Misty.

I hate paul too, but i think paul is a better rival, as gary actually liked his pokemon.
Plus, paul actually has decent pokemon.

I only like Paul because he's so mean to Ash. Yes they do need to "revive' Misty.

Why? She never did anything, and that wouldn't change if she was 'revived'. The way it is now, people are at least under the illusion that she's actually doing something.

Misty has been in quite a few episodes though, she was in Advanced Challenge for 2 episodes and they let her travel around with them for a few episodes in Advanced Battle and Ash mentioned her to Dawn in DP, which was actually quite a funny moment. There isn't really any reason for her to come back at the moment but she'll probably appear again sometime

The only time that I have seen Gary in the D/P show (which I hardly watch and this technically doesn't count) was when May and Max left for Johto and Gary was showing off his electrivire(sp?).

one thing i have to ask: why do they make up all these new characters to be the rivals? why not just throw in the charatcers that were available from the games? Like Silver. Silver would've been an AWESOME rival in the GSC series...

I always kind of thought Ash's friend Richie should've been his rival, I remember the battle that they had between Pikachu and Pikachu, and it would've been alot better if they were rivals. Don't you think?
