Which In-game Pokemon characters really irritate you?

Hey, I've finally made my own original post! Sorry if the topic's already been discussed, because I'm pretty sure everything else has, haha!

Anyways, are there any characters in the Pokemon games that really push your buttons? Get on your nerves? Make you want to smack 'em in the face?

I didn't enjoy the Unova saga games, so I might as well point out soome of their cast that either didn't make since or just annoyed me in general.

Alright fangirls, cover your eyes because N really irritates me and is a character I think has a lot of issues! Yeah, yeah, he has the long flowing hair but that's basically it. N is one of those characters that is only there to soak up pity. He has a terrible backstor: being an orphan, being raised by a madman, being locked in a room for years, being taught the wrong information...

Yeah his childhood sucked, the poor baby. But guess what? He can communicate with Pokemon! And what part does this have to play in the story? Absolutely nothing. N's super duper power has no impact on the storyline what-so-ever! He listens to what the player's Pokemon has to say, but doesn't care and doesn't take that they like you seriously! What a jerk! His power is just there... why is it even there!? To prove he cares for Pokemon? So does everyone else in Unova!

And he doesn't even play a valuable part in the storyline! The thing that really irks me is if N can talk to Pokemon, why do they not tell him that they don't want to be released and actually enjoy battling? Oh I know, because he's an jerk who is too full of himself! And he's so clueless and stupid, Team Plasma's evil deeds go right under his nose! He never notices that they abuse and steal Pokemon because he's just that stupid.

I know N is supposed to be a good character, but the way he is written is awful. He's obviously only there to pity and battle over and over again. He literallty drowns you in dialouge whenever you meet, trying to convince you to treat his opinions as law. He thinks that catching Reshi/Zek will change the world which... what sense does that even make? He constantly refuses to actually use his power which therefore makes in useless and most of all the games tries so hard to make him sound like a good guy.

If N were the villian and purposely caught Reshi/Zek to rule the world aside Ghetsis, that would work a lot better. He could be an easily manipulated orphan who after realizing how lame Ghetsis is, gives the player his dragon and scadaddles. Then he can return in Black 2/White 2 and stay evil. He could have been the main evil villian and Colress could have betrayed him to the good guys! What a twist!

But nope! We get a long haired, drooling idiot with useless powers who we're supposed to cry over and have the feels for when he's not worth any of it. Speaking of loser and evil... Ghestis all of the way.

Ghetsis is definitly the worst main villian in all of the Pokemon games. Giovanni was bad-Swalot with his mafia look and interesting link with Mewtwo. Also, he's a gym leader! Cyrus has backstory and isn't just evil, he's insane. He has logic behind his evil goals! That makes him a boss! Even Maxie and Archie (who are totally lame...) are better because they're unique and have personalities.

Not Ghetsis! He lacks any personality except being super evil and cold and vicious and bla bla bla. He's so cliche of a character and doesn't do anything interesting except battle you. He appeared last minute in both Unova games and performs his evil plan last minute. He especially annoys me in Black/White, when he literally walks up to the character and explains his evil plan basically spoiling the end of the game.

Not like we couldn't tell before! Team Plasma was so transparent, it hurt. Obviously they didn't care about Pokemon! I mean they kicked Pokemon, stole Pokemon and insulted Pokemon. I mean, duh!

Ghetsis's evil plan is taking over the world. OF COURSE! He's unoriginal, bland, eeeevillll and did I mention bland? I hate this guy because he has not one drop of originality except in his design. That's it. He is nothing new.

So do you all agree? And are there any other in-game character you want to Flamethrower? Discuss!

I completely agree. The story, and most notably, the villains in B/W and B2/W2 didn't draw me in at all. I didn't care about the villains at all or what they were trying to do. I actually found the whole thing rather tedious. N bored me to death, and like you said, never used his power for anything really, and Ghetsis was so insane I couldn't even understand what he was trying to do. How he ever managed to convince anyone, let alone an entire team of people, that "liberating" (stealing) pokémon from trainers, then forcing them to battle makes them worse than any trainer out there. At least the trainers treat their pokémon with compassion. The pokémon world must be full of idiots.

Every other boss/team had a logical goal. Giovanni wanted to make money, and he had the mob boss persona. Team Rocket continued that goal in the Johto games.

Maxie/Archie wanted to use Groudon and Kyogre to either expand the land (so people/land pokémon had more space to live) or the sea (so water pokémon had more space to live). While both plans are completely messed up, they had a somewhat logical goal and were taking action to make that goal a reality.

Same thing with Cyrus. He wanted to use the pokémon that governed time and space in order to create a perfect alternate dimension. Completely off his rocker, but still had something he wanted to achieve and he had a plan to make it happen.

I liked the other villains and actually wanted to stop them. With Ghetsis, I found him annoying and just wanted to throw him off of a cliff or something. And I just wanted to tell N stuff it every time he started talking.

As for my own most hated character, Barry. That kid needs some serious help. He was always bouncing off of the walls, recklessly endangering himself, without a care in the world. It was funny at times, but it got fairly annoying to see him rushing around like a chicken with its head cut off all the time.

That guy who keeps saying "Rydel" on the cycling route in Hoenn. I seem to distinctly remember that guy for being especially annoying, as it offers nothing to the game whatsoever.

Haha yeah! :D Agreed! I just hold down the B button as soon as I spot either one because I know a ton of boring text is going to get flung at me. I was curious if Unova was clueless enough to even allow Ghetsis to control them.

Last time I checked, rivals strived to become better than you not be goody-goody with you. Hugh is a rival, Silver's a rival, Blue's a rival, Wally's a rival. Not these two. And the Elesa and Bianca's father story moment was like 10 seconds long and super forgettable.

Lyra and Ethan are for wasting your time, annoying you, and lying to you about their marills evolving(DON'T BELIEVE THEM IF YOU DIDN'T BEAT CHUCK YET) and wild pokemon aren't hard to catch. Wow I never knew Bianca's dad had a backstory. You are right it is forgettable. And I don't want to go through some dumb foggy route with like a double team with raichu and gyarados. Cameron is the useless guy that takes pictures of you. Weirdo. I find Ghetsis to be entertaining at the end of black and white.

Gen1-Prof.Oak. YEAH i said it he is practically the most annoying in my opinion. Im like okay lets go in the tall grass....NO ITS TOO DANGEROUS COME WITH ME TO MY "LAB".....i'll give you a pokedex.....Pedo alert.

Gen2-Silver. i just saw him outside this window and went to talk to him and his attitude is like "wtf are you looking at man?!" then he KICKS you and your pokemon away from him. OH and Joey is the most annoying of them all in this gen....."My rattata is not like other rattatas, he is in the top percentage of rattatas" He calls EVERY ****ING ROUTE to tell the same thing. Just shut up...please.

Gen3-Archie and maxie- "okay i will take this ....ball and rule the world!" yeah the legendary got away, im in shock...NOT. And the guy i dont remember in what route, where you fight him and he is like "okay now fight my wife, my 2 children and my parents...." thanks bro!

Gen4- Prof.Rowan. he is nuts, he is talking to himself, he lets dawn do all the crazy ****....oh and he TALKS TO HIMSELF.

Talk about overreaction. We don't really even know the rivals for gen 6's personalities. And they never said that the only purpose was to make money, probably something even more. They're probably not gonna reveal the whole plan all at once so yeah. But what will they do with the money? Oh and your comment about some of the gen 6 rivals may be offensive to other people.

Barry is a pretty cool guy, but I just didn't like him. He was too... energetic. xD You have to battle him every time you run into him. I ended up losing most of these battles, because my team was underleveled. I also didn't like that one Team Rocket guy from Silph Co. His team was filled with Zubat, and all they did was use Supersonic, Growl, and Leech Life. D:
