    Best game=HGSS lol.

    Seriously, though, they're all so good, each for different reasons, that it's hard to pick a best, but I can tell you one of the higher ones on my list is Crystal.
     
    Got to agree with that. Crystal was a great game but I think Emerald just topped it.

    ... They're all good but Sapphire and Pearl are one of the more prefered.

    so far for me it's platinum and emerald. But all games have their pros.
     
    Emerald, I just loved the very cheesy cut scene. Also the battle island was a cool add in. I loved how the trainer cards could have replays on them too. Great game. :D

    Crystal was my favourite gameboy game, Platinum is my favourite DS game, let's see if HeartGold changes this ;x
     
    crystal. johto was the greatest region. it added many things from silver and gold. great storyline compared to the other games. the remakes can never truly replace the originals.
     
    For me its Emerald or DP. Really really really hope HGSS tops them all.

    Emerald was, and still is my favorite pokemon game.
    However, i'm not sure if it will change once I get SoulSilver. :/
     
    Platinum and Leaf Green. Platinum because it's serving as my main game and Leaf Green because it introduced the most awesome playable character (Leaf) ever. Don't ask me why, but I'm not as excited for HG/SS as I probably should be.
     
    Well the latest game on the market is my favourite! Yes indeed HeartGold and SoulSilver! They are simply the best from what I have heard and the screenshots looks amazing too! Even though I am waiting for the English version to come out, I knwo its going to be the best since Gold from the orignal GBC series was my favourite game ever!
     
    For the Gameboy it would be Pokemon Gold. So many good times with that games, so many days wasted just playing it constantly, so many batteries....
    On the Gameboy Advance it would be Emerald. Not really much else to say with that lol
    On the DS it would be Platinum, but with HGSS just around the corner I think my mind will be changing really soon (since I don't even like Platinum that much anyway lol)
     
    i really liked hoenn since it had some good pokemon

    i also really liked shinnoh since of the awesome pokemon even though the lack of failure and laziness

    Got a problem?

    I won't be able to play HG/SS until later this month (even though it comes out...today!). But when I do play HG, that will top the list, most likely.

    I just liked Platinum because in my opinion, all of the extra features made it better then the classics, (including Crystal). I can see why some fans prefer the same old Pokemon, but I have to disagree that not adding new Pokemon would be better. Sure the newer designs are not on par with the simplicity of the old designs, but new Pokemon are what make each game special, in my opinion. And personally, I hope they finally achieve having 700-1000 Pokemon. That way, whatever 6 Pokemon you use will be a reflection of you. I prefer it so that no two teams are alike (unless you enter the metagame, where EVERYONE uses the same ubers/OUs Pokemon.)

    Sorry for my annoying chatter, but I will continue:
    Platinum was also my favorite because of Wi-Fi. HG will probably be my favorite, and I can't wait for my Chikorita to follow me around.
