    I choose female!
    Female Pokémon all the way!

Female are defiantly more elegant looking and probably designed with more quality some might argue, but i like males more.

Because im sexist i train males.

i mean, a female alakazam? its got a mustache for goodness sake!

I agree with Joe, what makes Pokemon good within their species are their stats (and in later generations nature), not their gender.
So, if I would want to use for example an Adamant Machop, and after hours get a female one, I would take it, despite being female being something really weird for the Machop famlily.

males pokemon to me, you know why? i have a very weird belief that male pokemon are stronger than female one though i know it's not true. but who care? when you believe, you succeed 90%

I don't really care but I do like to have both male and female pokemon with me so I can use a love ball for some pokemon.

You know, the genderless Pokemon needs more love.

Any Persian on my team, I demand it be female. Other than that, gender doesn't play a factor very much. And sometimes I will use genderless Pokemon, for the record.

I guess Electric would be my favorite type because of its usefulness, but my teams typically must have a Water and a Ground type as well. Oh, and Persian :)

I only have a prefrence to certian pokemon on being a specific gender. (my Marril or my Cerubi)

Through a breeder's viewpoint, I would probably have to go with females in this case. Female Pokemon not only pass down the specific species of Pokemon when bred with another Pokemon (that isn't Ditto), but if you give them an Everstone to hold while it is in the Daycare, it has a 50% probability of passing down it's nature to the offspring. Edit: Woot!!! 2,000 posts. xD

Well, I pay attention to some Pokemon genders, like, I wouldn't want a male Gardevoir (thank goodness for Gallade) or a female Machamp. It just bugs me. Also, if a sprite with gender differences looks better one way or another, then I'll probably hunt down a specific gender (for example, I prefer male Donphans with their larger tusks and female Dodrio because I think the black on the male sprites look weird).

But since I nickname all my Pokemon, and I nickname them after real names (not like Sparky, Bouncy, etc.), I prefer a balanced team of names, or I prefer a male name on a certain Pokemon, I'll search for the specific gender.

Other than that, I don't really prefer any gender, and I don't choose one over the other. It mostly depends on the nickname.

I usually prefer male Pokemon unless the sprite looks better on the female one, they're female-only, or they're genderless. As far as my reason for that is concerned, I dunno. But that's just for battling. Breeding, I tend to go for whatever will produce the best result in the long-run.

I don't prefer one over the other. I just get whatever gender the pokemon looks like.

    For example:
    Swellow - female
    Rhydon - male

I'm very picky when it comes to some Pokemon being certain genders. I usually tend to stick with females most of the time, and may restart a game several times just to obtain a female starter. However, if I manage to find a shiny that I like, I'll let it by. However, I pass up shinies for a female starter with the right nature.

It rarely matters; Hippowdon's one of the few cases where it does, in which case I want a female one.

    Otherwise, I really don't care...
