Which real-world animal does not have a Pokemon version yet that should?

Ting-Lu looks like a Moose imo. A moose with a big bowl/cauldron for antlers.
Spoiler:

A more animal looking Red Panda Pokemon would be nice.
Apparently Stufful is based on it, but I wouldn't even have realized that had I not looked it up at some point. It looks far more like a plush come to life, that just kinda resembles a red panda.

I kinda get why they don't, but I think a Pokémon based on a Greater Short-Horned Lizard (the ones that shoot blood out of their eyes). There's also the whale shark and basking shark which I think would make for some fun designs.

As for animals that aren't alive anymore, I'm sad there isn't a Pokémon really based on the Ankylosaurus yet. Torterra is kind of the closest one but lacks the iconic hammer tail.
Ankylosaurus was always one of my favourites as a kid - it was pretty much a tie among that, Stegosaurus and Triceratops. I'd also like to see more larger aquatic options. Wailmer/Wailord is nice, and I can't believe it took so long before a dolphin appeared. I'm not the biggest fan of Sharpedo, I think because it evolves from a piranha it doesn't feel like a true shark to me.

What about a platypus? I'm not sure there are pokemon based on this animal unless you stretch it to Psyduck's design resembling one. A platypus pokemon could make for an interesting water/poison or ground/poison.
Potentially both with it switching types in modes like Morpeko! I think those types are a spot-on for a platypus-inspired Pokemon.

I'm not entirely sure. I wouldn't mind seeing a griffin, but that's more mythical... how about a tiger? Have we gotten an actual tiger yet? I can't recall because there are so many. I know Litten is somewhat Tiger, I guess... but idk? Maybe an actual frog or a toad since most of the ones I've seen are just frog or toad hybrids. Froakie might count in terms of frog though, so idk... but I know that's kinda all we had in terms of actual frog or toad.

We can count mythical creatures (I have a Lapras called Nessie)! I agree on the other counts as well - we have several variations of turtle, but frogs feel heavily underrepresented, and I would like something closer to a "true" tiger in the game. I have a lot of Pokemon named after Disney characters, and Incineroar is standing in for Rajah right now because I think that's the closest line we have to a tiger so far.

There's no Aadvark Pokemon. We have an anteater, but not an aardvark.

There's no jaguar Pokemon, ocelot Pokemon, and a shocking lack of a Pokemon based on an orca. We only have one type of whale Pokemon in Wailmer and Wailord and whatever Kyogre is. There's no alpaca Pokemon and no yak, either. While we have a tanuki (Zigzagoon) we do not have a normal racoon Pokemon.

There's also no goose, no narwhal, and perhaps the most shocking, a capybara. A Caypbara would be a perfect early route Pokemon, and it still hasn't happened.

Yeah, and I try not to count Legendary or Mythical Pokemon towards this sort of thing, so while Kyogre is some sort of whale-like creature, I would only count Wailmer and Wailord.

And I loooooove the capybara idea.!!!
