which region has the coolest pokémon centers/marts

seeing as the design of them (and whether the mart is inside the PC) changes quite frequently, which one do you think looked the coolest? when it comes to either interior or exterior, let's figure out what the best one is! :)

Not the ones with the Pokémon Centre and Poké Mart merged into one building.

Interior design wise then I'd say HGSS is my favourite just to how open and easy it feels when walking around inside. ORAS easily has the best exterior design for me due to how realistic it looks in comparison to the others. It doesn't look as clunky as the rest and there's just something I like about the colour scheme compared to the likes of Sun & Moon's Pokémon Centre.

My favourite has to be Unova's style. The introduction of the Pokémon Center and Mart merge was so helpful and time saving! When I was younger I would always forget where the Mart was in the town and I'd be running around for ages looking for it, aha. I was a massive fan of the modern look and feel of them too and the massive change between Unova and the rest of the Pokémon world (at the time) was really cool and helped distinguish them as being completely removed.​

I really liked the merging between the PC and the Market, it's so convenient!

Gen 5 is has my favorite Pokemon Center, but it's a shame they merged the shop with it. :(

I had to think about this a bit more than I expected, but I think when it comes to exteriors it's a tie between FRLG and Sun & Moon. The FRLG PC is super simple and has a great design, and I really like FRLG's building tiles a lot overall. The Alola Pokémon Center is just plain gorgeous and fits in great with the unique look of the region. For interiors though, I adore the XY one. Making the PC into a sort of café and adding a bunch of other stuff to fill up the empty space was a brilliant idea.

I'm curious why you think that! I quite like having them in the same building, is it just the old-time charm of having two or is there something else that makes you want a separate Mart back?

I miss the old feeling of having the 2 separate. I also miss the Poke Mart music.

I actually like the modern Pokemon Center + Poke Mart in one. I can understand the nostalgic appeal of when they were separate, but even the Pokemon world has to modernize to keep trainers happy.

I like that the Kalos Pokemon Centers have a change room, which is something Alola lacks in convenience since it makes you have to constantly run back to an apparel shop just to change clothes.

In terms of exterior, I really like the classic design in FRLG and I'm a fan of the Pokemon centers in Sun and Moon too! With the interior, X and Y's is pretty much unrivaled imo, it looks so good.

HeartGold / SoulSilver's Pokémon Center is by far my favourite. I especially liked how in some towns the exterior was different, explained in-game as due to the towns having a focus on heritage. The interior in Platinum is quite nice and crisp as well, but the exteriors may well be my least favourite of all Gen III-V.
