It's like titanfall. Make hype for something known very little about and let us down with limited stuff. THANKS EA. Jk, I think it was a hint at a future remake at best. If it had no purpose in the old one, it must serve as something in the new one. Teaser much?

I've done the same as you but it got stuck at 99 and then it jumped over to 101 and I was like D:< but now my Emerald's battery is dead so when I talk to him it's 9999 xD

On another note, maybe in the remakes it allows you to get the Wish Tag from the girl and then activate it to bring out Jirachi and voila! Catch. And then the rock is one of the formes of Deoxys?
 
I'm guessing there would be a Jirachi event happening this time around. I'm not sure why they couldn't considering we have the means already. Maybe even connect to the space station perhaps? We will never know haha.
 
They'll use the event with the wish tag so that the people who didn't do it get a jirga hi from were it originally came from. I never got that jirga chi and I wished i did

Maybe you're right. They did that in Explorers of Sky, how they had that Bidoof event and you had to defeat a sleeping Jirachi. However, that was a spin-off game so I doubt that something like that would be added.

Ooooh I remember that! It was one of those side missions that told stories about the members of the guild or something like that. I remember playing Iglybuff's story too...
Maybe Game Freak is becoming brighter and will add something like that. Maybe it's... evolving!
 
Why exactly are we making a big deal out of something that game freak just put for show? The creators of pokemon just throw random time lines at us and things like the white rock for show. Maybe all we're doing is making the white rock have a bigger purpose than it is. Maybe the creators never intended for it to even serve in the plot. If RSE the white rock was just an added detail and affected none of the plot, why do it in ORAS?

Well I guess we feel that now with Wireless Communications, we now can have some kind of event. I'm not sure about you, but that thought makes me feel anticipated.
 
Maybe they will use it for a mega evolution event or something
 
I originally stated that the Hoenn remakes needed to be done because they needed to put Jirachi in somehow. And Deoxys.

I think you found a side storyline. Or a post-game quest. I like.
