does anyone besides me get kind of annoyed when ash goes to a new region and leaves his pokes behind. Cos then he goes and loses to loads of trainers that he could own any day with his other pokes. And i dunno but it doesnt seem as fun when lets say.... u see a battle between turtwig and breloom (that episode where aipom evolves) when u could be seeing battles like sceptile vs claydol (in the battle frontier)

    what does everyone else think?

Well, I think its cool taht he 'restarts' for the next region. Otherwise we would have Johto where Charizard would own everyone, and the new pokemon barely received recognition for being strong.

I agree plus you'd think that at least his pikachu would be like lv.100 cuz he has had it for so longbut no it can't KO a pkmn wih one hit from even VOLT TACKLE!!!

but he wouldn't own everyone as the gyms are meant to be strong. although they get beaten by ashes new pokes lol

    agree
but it wont be interesting if he doesnt catch new pokemon

OMG! How many threads have been made about Ash and his pokemon -.-"
As someone said. It'll be Johto all over again. In Johto there's only one poekmon evolved. Which was bayleef. Ash's kanto started overshadowed the wholed johto team. This cuz Ash Leaving Charizard at the valley, Bulbasuar to Oak and Squirtle to the Squirtle squad.

Let see. In kanto Ash manage to evolve Charizard, Pidgiot, Butterfree.
    In Johto - Bayleef
In hoenn/BF - Sceptile, Swellow, Donphan, Glalie
In sinnoh - Gliscor, Staravia and :
    Spoiler:

So, I don't agree with you. I don't want to see Ash powerhouses, taking his new pokemon's spotlight. Sceptile and Charizard in the same team is overkill. -.-"

I do know what you are saying, but I guess Ash prefers catching new pokemon and train them and be strong, but it seems like in this new region he just sucks. lol xD

He could just pack Tauros, Snorlax, Muk and Charizard.

    "Good fackin' game, nub. =D"

He needs to "reset", to make the format of the anime's Gym Leaders match that of the game's.

    ^DonRoyale speaks rivers of gold.

Also, wouldn't you think it would get boring and old when you see the same group of pokes just owning and owning each and every gym? Its exciting when he catches new pokes and evolves them.

He cld still catch new pokes just not leave ALL but pikachu behind. Like say goes to sinnoh and he could have taken swellow with him or cyndaquil or summit like that

    That won't work.
If he takes Swellow, what would happen happen to Gliscor or Staravia?
Swellow, had enough battles, He was used so much, from hoenn to Battle frontier. For cyndaquil, I doubt we'll see him, because he already have Chimchar. We might see him, IF they make another battle frontier

Just like hoenn his team is already set.
    Electric - Pikachu
    Fire - Chimchar
    Grass -
    Spoiler:

    Flying - Staravia
    Water - Buizel
    Wild card -Gliscor

Johto saga showed that Ash can't handle having the past pokemon and training the new ones at the same time.

It was just an example and lol isnt it a bit obvious what the spoiler is

I think it makes perfectly logical sense. :]

I would do the same thing. Leaving the stronger Pokemon back with Professor Oak, while taking new Pokemon to the newer regions is very selfless of Ash, in my opinion. By the look of things, he does not want to own the strongest Pokemon, but rather, I think he wants to prove that every Pokemon has potential.

    Or something like that.
